Question: Heard anything about Mesidor?
Akheem Mesidor was scheduled to speak to reporters on Tuesday and Wednesday after practice, but was replaced both days without an explanation.
 
Question -

Which areas after two games do you think we can improve on and make the greatest impact for on-field success?
 
Question: Can we talk about Jaden Harris run fits on the 2 long running plays vs uf and famu? He was responsible for both of them. He makes plays but man is he giving them up with not being aware in those situations

What was it with the co-host low-key dragging Martinez? Left a lot of yards on the field(he says)? I like Fletcher, no doubt, but Martinez imo is the better back, and I think most would agree.

In the UF game it was the linebacker’s responsibility. Guidry spoke about it and said it wasn’t his fault.

Of course he will cover for his player but Harris has responsibility on that play too. Yes bissainthe was out of position but so was Harris

Go to 1:48:30 on this video. Clearly a run play, cb recognizes it and flies in, Harris stays looking at the receiver even after the ball is clearly being handed to the rb and everyone else is reacting to a run play. That’s 2 games in a row he’s allowed 2 big runs on his side of the field due to not being aware

Even the safety on the other hash reacted to it being a run play even though it was on Harris side but did Harris do anything? No he took himself out of the play when it clearly was a run.

And you can say this on bissainthe but Harris played this play wrong as he11 too

So he’ll cover for his player and throw Wesley under the bus? I never played so I’m not gonna speculate on what responsibility was where and what keys were supposed to be read by who. But I doubt he would do that and then also cause friction between his linebacker coach and himself.
Not saying you’re wrong. But it seems like that would be a wrong way to express what happened to the media.

That’s the part that was tripping me up at first

Like I get it was Jaden’s fault but why would a coach then throw a guy under the bus that didn’t have anything to do with it?

And if it’s both their faults then why would he cover for one and not the other?

But **** it my brain hurts thinking about the mental gymnastics involved

Coach speak, either way, he’s not being aware. Every play doesn’t go on script. React anyway
