We should have alot of options. This guy looked terrible. Heatherman had that boy confused. I havent watched him before this game but I don't see anything special. Could be a bad game but might be a preview of what happens if we play playoff caliber teams with him. Who knows. We did real good with Cam in our evaluation of him and Beck was a sound choice, not great. I expect they will make a good choice.

I didn't rewatch or anything, but he seemed very rushed. It seemed like he was making a lot of throws off his back foot and with very poor mechanics, ie, not stepping into throws. I'm not sure if that's typical or was a product of our DL completely manhandling his OL. (As I mentioned earlier, 1st time I watch his this year.) I don't think their OC did him any favors with routes that seemed to require a more time than his OL was able to provide.

Let’s hope and pray this isn’t another Mendoza situation for us..

I was with others calling him the Cuban Emory.. but me and many others have now eaten our words

We need to hit and get QB right for next year

CJ Bailey is objectively having a very good year and is in fact a talented QB. This one performance doesn't change that. However this one performance did also highlight the one thing he struggles with, INT's. He throws too many. I was expecting him to struggle because your D is very good and makes other QB's look bad. His INT's were bad tho.
 
After watching Bailey again he’s accurate and can move so he’s definitely better than what we have now and he’s also better than Iowa’s quarterback Gronkowski. I mentioned the Iowa quarterback because I think some people liked him in the portal and he might be the worst quarterback I’ve seen this year.

But Bailey is several rungs below Beck. He doesn’t process quickly and isn’t really a playmaker.

I just don’t see anything special about him. It’s a little odd how weak quarterback play is in college now after the past few years when you had so many difference makers. It was kind of a golden age of qb play. Now I’m struggling to see anyone in college that is a sure fire starter in the NFL. All the top quarterbacks have huge flaws.
