The colts will make the playoffs because their divison is bad and the playoffs start in january.

So my question is how would he be a candidate if the season ends in december and playoffs the next month?

Would he just leave the colts if he got the job?

I hope it is a issue because i don't want him as coach.

He would be named HC and he'd finish out the season with the Colts.

I recall Herman was hired prior to the CFP, but he stayed on as OSU OC for the playoffs.

Yep. I remember Herman ****ing off a lot of Suckeyes too because he threw on a Houston hat during the Champ Game postgame celebration and essentially used it to recruit.

Chud would leave the Colts tomorrow if he was offered the Miami job.

He is merely a consultant in Indy.

Not too worried about chud - I don't think he has a huge enough role that would require him to stay through end of season. That said, it does bring up a good point. There is a lot of "chatter" that UM is strongly considering a pro guy. When was the last pro guy that held a coordinator position in the pros bolt before the season ends to take over a college job? I am sure there has been some but I don't recall.

It wont happen.

It wouldn't effect Chud unless like stated above he is named interm coach maybe
Now his OC will be in the playoffs too
not sure if he could talk Butch into DC or bring Schianio

but just hire Butch anyways
