That’s ridiculous - Lyle played well tonight blocking and catching as well. There is a lot that goes into this. I agree CWH could also play more, but Lyle will be RB2 or 3 by the end of year.

Yes - it was a freak hit; he was literally covering the ball with two hands right before the impact just at the goal line - I think he was trying to reach or contort for it, but the timing was impeccable. Freak play IMO. Also, Meriweather showed GREAT instincts, athleticism, and awareness on that play.
 
Most fun I had watching a garbage time rb in years. Happy for him and hope he gets a roll moving forward

CWH should earn RB2/3 type look with that running style. Great scheme fit too.

Respect, IMO, that’s exactly how you determine snaps. With this set of backs, it’s going to be RB by committee. Who has the hot hand? Let them take a series and see if they continue to produce. RN that hellcat. He should get first look after Fletcher vs Clemson. If he can’t deliver you look at Lyle and Mallory.

Personally, I like Mallory at number two. Kid looks like the complete package and will only get better with more S&C. But CWH lit it up so the others need to earn their snaps back.
 
I'm intrigued to see if he can run with that power against a good DL in short yardage (IOW, do what #6 did before he got hurt).
 
This place is funny. Yes, it was central Michigan. That’s who they were playing. What else do you want him to do? Pringle and Lyle also playing against Central Michigan. If you don’t think he looked better than them against admittedly weak competition, I don’t know what to tell you. At least he didn’t fumble on the gold line.

It doesn’t have to be extreme that all of a sudden he’s gonna be going to the pro bowl. You probably earned some snaps against better competition to see whether or not he can perform that’s it see what happens.

Hot hand vs central michigan backups should not boost you up to rb2..That’s crazy. He is at best rb4. You can’t make big shifts based on garbage time reps vs terrible teams

Y’all act like the coaches haven’t seen CWH run the ball in practice. This shouldn’t be a surprise to them. There’s a reason he was buried on the depth chart to begin with. Maybe he earned himself some more snaps, but moving him up immediately after playing bums is crazy work.

To FAU. I don’t see it with him sorry. He also looks disinterested, so that could be part of it. But I don’t see the burst, or vision. I did think he made a nice catch on an inaccurate check down.
He’s talented, but it almost feels like he needs a fresh start. I’m just not sure any big schools are going to go after him in the portal…
