FYI Saquon 2.0 had 6 for 16. Same under 3 ypc he's always been if you take away his 90 yard run.

Just cause he's smaller doesn't mean he's an outside runner only. give him any kind of hole and he's got 7-10 yards in a blink with that acceleration and direct style. As far as who is #2 it seems to be both Pringle and Mallory depending on what is needed. They are using Mallory if they need a bit more bulk to grind out 3 yards. This is probably how it should be, but they are clearly trying to get Pringle involved and cooking.

Mallory can break some darn tackles tho. He may end up breaking more than big Fletch due to him running lower. Very impressive so far.

Glad to see my guy Pringle finally get some decent blocking and have a good night also. I think we have a heck of a combo moving forward with Pringle and Mallory. Perfectly complementing each other.

Fair enough. But my distinction is he really shines when the defense has to adjust to his explosiveness versus pounding runners. And though he may be a between the tackles guy some of his bigger gains were off tackle. Not perimeter or outside but off tackle. Either way I agree. It’s his cut and upfield running which makes him dangerous. So he needs a hole.

yes exactly. he is way way different than our other RB's. He shined last year because our OL was insane at making the right blocks but at times we didn't just open these huge holes with our tight splits, he fits that really well. IMO he finds small holes well. However he needs some kinda hole like you say. He can't just truck somebody like Fletch or Mallory before he even gets going. Fletcher has been making our run blocking look better than it is

I’m a Pringle fan, but there’s no doubt his production has been underwhelming so far this season. Pretty small sample size, but he still doesn’t have a 10+ yard carry through 4 games (on 21 carries).

I didn't think he played bad, but he's still what he's always been. The hype around this player is just completely off the rails insane. I could understand it if he was Willis 225 lb running a 4.3. He isn't that big, he isn't that quick, and he isn't nearly that fast.

Pringle deserves some heat, admittedly that may be fair. We paid him in the offseason to be RB #2 to keep him away from Bama.

Pringle hasn’t looked as good this year, but he is still better than Lyle. I think some may have overrated him a bit and expect too much from him when he’s really just a better than average running back.

He’s not popping off those 10-15 yard runs so far this year that he was getting last year. I still feel he hits the hole hard and is decisive, but is not breaking tackles after 1st contact.

Small sample size yesterday for both him and Lyle. Pringle has 7 carries for 38 yards, 5.4 avg. Lyle has 6 carries for 16 yards, 2.7 avg. Both are running behind the same o-line and against the same defense.

Instead of blaming the RB's we should remember these guys are trying to make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t. Everyone loves Mallory based mostly on his great performance vs FAMU. Otherwise he's been about the same. Mallory 3.3 ypc against Wake for example. It just highlights IMO how phenomenal Fletcher has been playing. I do not understand how he's averaging 6.4 ypc this year. GOAT him.

I argued in the offseason most if not all our RB's were just above average. I was wrong about Fletcher tho. ELITE level of play.

Not an elite RB nor have I ever said otherwise. He was the most productive RB last year prior to the playoffs. Never anywhere did I make a dumb comparison like saying he was Gibbs or something. I said we don't have any ELITE RB's on the team. I did not believe Fletcher could keep up playoff Fletcher because we had never seen that version of him before. I was dead *** wrong on that. Playoff Fletcher is real.

I agree our run blocking this year leaves a lot to be desired.

Im not one of those crowing Mallory yet, but he has been playing better than Pringle so far this year. I’m not saying that he is better, but he’s looked a little better so far. I actually think Mallory has looked good in other games besides the FAMU game. This isn’t a Jordan Lyle situation where he was crowned off one 90+ yard run and has done nothing since.

Yes, Fletcher is elite and we need him back going forward. Need everyone back for that matter.
