Chocolate Gray

Larry Blustein knows talent and said this kid was going to be a great RB. Injuries have derailed that. Hopeful that he can show some flashes

When I read that he's working on his pad level in year four of playing RB here I get ****ed off. Sorry if I'm quick to dismiss the guy as a viable option. Similar to G. Brown, who everyone keeps saying must get stronger in order to compete for a starting job. He's entering year three out of high school and was in LSU's strength program before here. Work ethic issues are to blame here.

No offense to Ice, but I think Brown is just a better RBs coach. I remember seeing one practice highlight that the official site published in the Spring where he was beating the crap out of Choc screaming "pad level, pad level, pad level". Given he was injured last year, I think he's only now getting the type of reps he needs to learn to run the way he needs to in traffic.

... can't argue about Brown. I can only apologize for him that he transferred on August 31st last year, and clearly didn't "get with the program" at LSU. A year under Felder should have been enough. Maybe he's a wasted bet, maybe Felder whips him into shape with a little more time. For all our sake, I hope he's good enough to sub in if needed and called upon. With Odogwu and Linder gone, if one of the 1s goes down, it's either Brown or Darling at OT, and if Darling, that means either Gaynor or Mahoney are playing in the interior, and I don't think either is ready for that.

None of the 10 backup OL has playing experience, and the only one that's received any positive reviews thus far is Gaynor (who is about 280lb soaking wet). Can't afford one injury to a starter.

Still working on his pad level?

Look I want him to succeed but how much longer are we going to do this?
I think the kid has earned our respect. Think about what he accomplished making it in to school. Some players don't kill it till junior & senior years. His track record says he will find a way to make a difference. Don't mind betting on a kid like him.
