Chocolate Gray

Choc just walked by Robert Burns and injured him, thus eliminating competition for the #3 spot.

Currently 232lbs, working on his pad level and his mobility is back to normal. Pushing T.Homer for 2nd team reps right now. Stay healthy Choc!

I like Choc a lot because I know he has the physical skills and size, but he has to perfect his technique and become more agile. Pulling for him to be that big fast back we need and NFL scouts love.

Rooting for Choc. We need a short yardage RB desperately unless you want Walton to get 30+ carries a game and end up like Duke did vs. FSU. Choc's not afraid to run through traffic like Gus was, and he is as fast as Gus. Has all the right characteristics, just needs to put it together in game time.

How many legit chances has Gray gotten to "show it at this level?" He played behind great RBs while transitioning from QB. Then he missed an entire season. I don't know if he's great or not, but Jesus fck you guys are brutal.

He's a giant fast kid who showed some flashes in very brief action a couple years ago. We will likely need him this year, so I hope he makes you Bill Polian Jrs eat **** like Berry did.

I loved Damien Berry. One tough **** who ran with a purpose

Yeah he's underrated. He was really good imo

I see Gray more as a Jarrett Payton. He doesn't have that redeeming quality of toughness that Berry had, IMHO. But I still say He should've been converted to a WR...or He should've gone to a school that would've let em' play QB. RB's more nature than nuture to me.

When will you all learn that he's not good? Wouldn't be surprised if DeeJay got more carries this year.

Due in large part to recruiting failures, Duke was misused as a between the tackles, every down back. Walton is a very different back than Duke.

I am rooting for everyone of our player!!! Even the jags... No need to think otherwise, since you never truly know when your number will be called. Next man up.

Is it September 2nd yet?

Walton is a good and reliable blocker too

Definition of a violent runner. When DB got the ball, you knew someone was going to get trucked.

How I've seen this guy

When I read that he's working on his pad level in year four of playing RB here I get ****ed off. Sorry if I'm quick to dismiss the guy as a viable option. Similar to G. Brown, who everyone keeps saying must get stronger in order to compete for a starting job. He's entering year three out of high school and was in LSU's strength program before here. Work ethic issues are to blame here.

****, tough crowd. You all act like he's the worst player in the country. I hope he balls out, he'll get some chances.

Ya'll acting like he's done something to deserve my faith in him. Nobody's bashing the kid, but he's got the tools and he's been on the team long enough, he should be pressing for the 2nd string spot ang he's not. At what point do you just admit that the kid isn't getting it together?

No offense to Ice, but I think Brown is just a better RBs coach. I remember seeing one practice highlight that the official site published in the Spring where he was beating the crap out of Choc screaming "pad level, pad level, pad level". Given he was injured last year, I think he's only now getting the type of reps he needs to learn to run the way he needs to in traffic.

... can't argue about Brown. I can only apologize for him that he transferred on August 31st last year, and clearly didn't "get with the program" at LSU. A year under Felder should have been enough. Maybe he's a wasted bet, maybe Felder whips him into shape with a little more time. For all our sake, I hope he's good enough to sub in if needed and called upon. With Odogwu and Linder gone, if one of the 1s goes down, it's either Brown or Darling at OT, and if Darling, that means either Gaynor or Mahoney are playing in the interior, and I don't think either is ready for that.

Been rooting for this kid but gonna need a LAAARRRGGGGEEE piece of property for that " I'll believe it when I see it" camp.
