Doesn't mean he isn't a good football player, doesn't mean he wasn't a good player at Miami. Just means he most likely will never make an impact on a NFL roster like 99.9% of us.

He went from playing his career at a wheight that he obviously didn't feel comfortable at. Having an underwhelming career.
To dropping the wheight getting himself drafted and making a PS.

Nobody is happy that chick got cut. I am not seeing it. Not one thread of a person having joy with it. All you see are Slurpers called it before you accepted it. He was not better as a freshman. He was a good player as a senior. He was never a sack monster. But sacks are not the only indication of playing ability. Even if a guy has 2 sacks a game but is weak against the run is no good for a D. That is only 2 plays. Chick held up well vs the run here. He was the only one last year.

Again, to say Chick should have been this or that and then only makes the Practice squad that does not hold water. 31 other teams have looked at his preseason tape and left him to the PS. No one is jumping for joy on that. But just because they told you that does not mean anyone is gleeful. Nobody saying Golden is the greatest of all time because they told you what Chick was.

These guys care more about supporting Al than players. They don't understand the logic behind most arguments. For them it's Chick sucks end of story. They ignore that the kid has not been utilized effectively at all while at Miami, because he was sacrificing for the team. Then they think he's going to just go to the pros and expect he's supposed to excel at a position he's never played before. Let's not ignore the fact that he had to drop 30 lbs to get to a respectable playing weight.

Keep in mind guys he came in as a 4-3 DE and has yet to be that on a regular basis in his career (that's not saying he never played it). Despite that he can still make the squad. Maybe he succeeds and maybe he doesn't but regardless, it won't be any thanks to Al.
