CB Chauncey Kennon (Sarasota) is Sam Shields' cousin and a top talent. He visited in spring. This will be a big weekend as the parties learn more about each other. Big 3 battle.

Define everyone?

D$ and Gaby. D$ reported his feedback and then noticed that Gaby said the same thing. He wasn't as negative about UM's chances with Kennon as Morris or Lafayette though.

Again, that's not "everyone". It's two guys standing side-by-side (DMoney and Gaby) reporting a brief interaction. And that's fine, they report what they observe.

All I am saying is logical. If two guys standing side-by-side report the same thing, it is consistent, but it is still only one experience/interaction. Therefore, it's not the same as reporting two independent sources with two independent interactions.

We shall see.

We don’t know there sources but I’m sure it’s someone close to the recruiting staff and if both were told the same..I gotta lean to the information being accurate.

The best insider we got right now on here is saying Jones and Keyes are real longshots according to their sources (even after the OV) but from all reports, Jones has us right in the thick of it and Keys loved his OV. So I guess time will tell.

They both said their information came from talking to Kennon, not talking to coaches. When DMoney posted his impressions, he had not yet spoken with the coaches to gather their takes on each recruit.

I'm just pointing out that it wasn't "everyone" who was saying Kennon is out. Just a couple of guys (who I trust very much) who gave their takes on one common interaction they both had.

Unlike some posters, I don't abandon all hope the minute that a scrap of negativity arises. When nearly every poster on this board gave up on Jackson Cantwell, I still thought we would get him (and I have the texts and DMs to prove it). Same with Cam Ward.

If the coaches want Kennon, they will not give up.

It feels like there is less momentum with CB Chauncey Kennon (Sarasota).

FWIW it’s from one of their writers, not like it’s set in stone but how our guys didn’t feel like this one was trending our way after the OV here, clearly they do.

If there’s one thing that corpse of a program can do it’s recruit DBs.
