We better pray Charlie gets his ish together enough to retain him for one more year.

I really don't want to be looking for a coach while Texas is. Not to mention our idiot BOT, with the backing of the mouthbreathers who still think recruiting is our issue, would hire him and we'd be in the dumpster for another 4 years.

Ideal situation: Texas does a little better, retains Strong. Eagles tank their season. Miami and Chip Kelly, a match made in heaven.

You shouldn't really be concerned about us competing with Texas for a head coach. Me thinks our respective search committees would generate slightly different candidate lists.
