Chaney hurt again

Uhhhhh no

Even Cribby said before this recent injury Don was playing the best. Rooster was getting shutdown in the scrimmages.
They were careful with Chaney early on in fall but when he got hurt he was running with the ones. He had a long run before the injury. Btw I never said rooster was getting shut down, not sure where that came from.

There was never going to be a true number one , it was always going to be by committee. That said Don is easily the most talented guy but that doesn’t mean anything if he’s not on the field, just being honest. They held rooster out of scrimmage because he had a litrle tweak but it was more precautionary, nothing serious.

It came from the practice reports from Lake after the first scrimmage.

Lake says rooster being held out as a “precaution” and contested catch drills for receivers are not clean. *Drink*

I hope Don can make a quick and full recovery and play the second half of the season. We know he has injury history, but hope this is a small one.

Availability is the best ability

Don hasn’t done a thing when the lights are on so I keep hearing about him but never seen anything on Saturdays. Looks like maybe next year will be the year!

Chaney's had one explosive play here: a 37-yard run in the Cheez-It Bowl where he drifted out of bounds without much awareness of his surroundings. Any comparisons to Gore should be shot down immediately. Gore produced from the moment he saw the field in 2001.

Look what we uncovered. This guy is claiming not to be a fan. Player? Coach? Parent?

No one is giving up on Don. Plus, the only thing that matters is if Don gives up on Don.

He has been injury prone—consistently—since 8th grade. He has never had a healthy period. At least Frank Gore carried gables on his back for a period of years before hitting some back luck.

Bad luck has nothing to do with durability.

We can’t count on Don as being reliable depth until he proves us otherwise. This is a fact. The only person who can fix this is God and Don.
Ah so I think you guys are saying the same thing just lost in translation

You’re not saying “move on from him” like cut him

Just kinda taking say a I dunno, Lattimore in SF approach (not that Don is that level of course)

Just meaning if we get anything out of him then great, but also can’t exactly just gameplan thinking he will be there

I’m with you there

Yep. That’s my point.

▪ A person close to the Canes running back room said Don Chaney Jr.’s injury that will keep him out a while is a hip injury. The Canes remain hopeful he will play at some point this season.

And that source said that freshman running back TreVonte’ Citizen’s injury that will keep him out longterm is a significant knee injury, sustained in a practice.

That’s some ****.

The idea was to keep it under wraps.
