They (last staff) were gonna ruin this kid's career.

I remember when I asked about him and they told me that they were gonna blow him up to around 285 and make him a 4-technique 2-gap (3-4) Defensive End. SMH

I will also have deep respect for guys like Tracy Howard, McCord, Luther Robinson and the list can go on. Those that came here to do some special, with offers from some of the top places to go, only to be destroyed by those clowns.

Chad pretty much came into this program with good skills at de...he wasnt some raw kid like Joseph Jackson...dude did some things as a hs sr that our vets werent doing..now your seeing him being allowed to do it..he should be credit with atleast 3.5 sacks..i guess they havent givent him his 1/2 sacks but he had a few at fau

Agreed. I have to admit that I was one of the guys who was questioning whether Chad really cared enough to match the 5-star potential. Clearly coach Kool has pulled it out of him. Let's hope we have him for 1 more year beyond this season.

Seriously, why would you question it. His game is across the LOS and Golden and boyfriend never allowed anyone to cross over it. Kid has a coach worthy of him now.

Chad could develop into a first round pick with another year under Coach Kool and the new S&C program. A lot of players get sacks but don't have skills to get to the next level. Chad has the frame to grow into a protypical NFL pass rushing DE.

Think they looked at those as broken plays and TFLs, but not sacks.

Tall, long, athletic with good bend. He's got the prototypical body, that's for sure.

I would add that we should be recruiting studs at all positions, every year, regardless of depth and talent
returning the following year.
Having said this, no point in overreacting and/or manufacturing drama about one of our
talented players (my original point).

He had 2 sacks in the first game they didn't even record. Had 2 yesterday but they only recorded 1 for whatever reason. He also had 1 against fau. By my count he should have 5 statistically but they recorded it the wrong way IMO

I'm not saying he was raw like Joseph Jackson.

Him not being raw like Joseph Jackson doesn't make him polished by any measure either. He's just a freakish athlete at his size playing with a high motor right now and that's more than good enough to be a stud defensive lineman in college, but we're talking about going in the first round and possibly the top half.

That's gonna require a lot more reps and a lot more solid film against legit competition.

Still needs work with his hands.
