to the people that say it doesnt help um....i dont really know on that...any publicity could be spun imo...Golden is a mastermind @ that....

To out of state recruits that are impressionable it could be big....

Chad and Nigel could send out the pic through facebook/instagram to potential recruits to see and they might be excited like..."look when you go down to miami, u parle with celebs"..which is the thought process of most out of state people in the age group.....

Believe me recruiting wise it could make something for out of state elites imo....

**** Arky used the COUNTRY WESTERN dude for Alex Collins...it could be played imo...showing current commits with um gear on...taking flicks with one of the top rappers of the current time can be used in recruiting imo...that sh*t is a better recruiting pitch than PLAY FOR THE JOKER.

I swear if I saw that dude in the streets without a whole entourage (never happens) I'd tell him what a ****ing **** he is, he would smile at me with those big stupid ****ing gimmicky golds, and keep walking down the road.

Sorry to go off on a tangent but its important not to endorse people like that, especially in your own city. When you reward bull****, more of it spawns up like a weed in your music scene. I'm not big on mainstream bull**** corporate rap to begin with but I'd rather get ****ed in the ear than listen to this actor or listen to somebody else give him credit for anything other than being a suckdick puppet.

Having Ross rep the Canes would be awesome. Regardless of one's opinion of the guy, you just have to possess basic reasoning skills to see how it would help. The kid's like his ****, plain and simple. Especially the type of kids we recruit. As you said, if all the best football players liked country, I would want Toby Keith or who ever is popular repping the Canes. Also as you said, the OOS impact on this would be huge. A lot of these kids dont always come from big city backgrounds, and they see stars when they are around this type of stuff. Check Snoop and SC, and Snoop hasnt really been that big for a minute.

Even if you're on the mainstream circuit, Rick Ross a legend he is not.

The Roots, Tupac, Run DMC, Chuck D, Eminem, Nas, Dre, Biggie, Jay-Z, Salt n Pepa, NWA....those are legends. People who either influenced or laid bricks for a movement with their music. I'll give Rick Ross credit for his work, but don't throw rocks at the throne. Or in this case.....a boulder.
