Chad Thomas didn't travel with team

Do him and Jackson play the same position? Because he traveled and I'm pretty sure he hasn't even played a snap yet. While Chad actually had plenty of snaps last game against asu

I think they are opposite ends but either way Jackson is a RS for sure...

He'd be an All American at Bama.

Pro staff, qualified S and C head, real nutrition program, and no charade about good grades = great football development.

It's why five stars come to the U to die.

Though I get what you're saying - those Bama kids sure gain a lot of weight and get freakishly big their freshman years - then they get to the pros and fall off or get injured more then anybody I can think of.

So golden would bring a guy he has no intentions to play but leave a guy who has already burned his red shirt and has seen playing time. Great coaching there. Either something happened or it's just idiotic coaching plain and simple there's no way around it.

Seriously, does anybody believe that for a second? He left CT because something happened, not because we had "less spots." That's absurd.

well it was a good call from Golden to keep AQM off the field to make sure he doesn't burn a year.. so i'll give him benefit to explain.. but i honestly don't see a solid reason why he would be left behind.

Less spots? So you'd rather bring a guy who plays pretty much the same position who's going to red shirt and not play a down this year then to bring a guy who's already burned his red shirt and experienced college play. Give one of those spots to Chad and not to a guy who is gonna red shirt simple as that.

From the vantage point of a career military man, Al Golden's leadership skills appear to be a cross between the old Soviet military-style and the fictional Major Frank Burns of M*A*S*H. He has a rigid set of rules based on his life experiences and expects people from varying backgrounds and circumstances to adhere to them in an unquestioned manner. Look, I had a troop in Iraq who I had a devil of a time adhering to military "standards" and in no uncertain terms I attempted to correct his deficiencies. However, being an old dog in the fight, I realized he had unique skills and talents which would and DID increase our unit's effectivness at accomplishing the military mission we were charged to do; spit and polish be #$%&+@*!

Golden is stuck in the 20th century Paterno mode. He is using recent ugly behavior by NFL'ers as an excuse to clamp down even harder. Instead of making the effort to get to know his players, their dreams, aspirations, families, ala Thursday Nights with Jimmy Johnson, Golden is a technocrat going by his binders, his pillars and his believe in psychological management theories. Chad Thomas may be but the latest example of Golden's lazy leadership style, one which dooms this team no matter how football talented it is on paper.

I hate you Al Golden. Its like he just does **** like this to teach players some dumb *** "lesson" but all it seems to do is **** players and fans off. Go back to Tenple.

Also maybe somebody can tell us - but I think if Thomas plays less then a certain percentage of games he can still be redshirted. Maybe I'm wrong. Not saying I agree with redshirting Thomas but could be the strategy.

if we need a coach to fire up the team.. for them to get ****ed... who is that for us? who is that 1 person in the staff that our players not only respect but know they can't even step up to... someone that the players strive to impress with their swagger and heart?

not trolling, legit question..

Did someone in here actually insinuate that Chad is going to transfer based on a tweet from some kook who saw him at a high school football game? I'm pretty sure Chad being left behind could be due to a multitude of reasons. And I'm equally sure that that decision will have no impact on this game, which is all that matters.

Was the poster that said something about staph infection possibly right? If that happens to be the case, lots of you sound like absolute overreactive dumbasses right now. Straight up.

The porsters of the board got tired of *****ing and moaning in the uniform thread, so they have moved on to this.
