True, and i have no doubt he is coming here. that said, we were saying the same thing about ark. last year and look what happened. His mom loved us so much she freakin grab the papers and ran.

On CS on the interview with Tim Harris Jr about his brother he mentioned that chad and Jackson are both solid and will sign with the

[h=3]5 p.m. Sun. UM recruiting update; Evaluators on Marlins newcomers; Dolphins, UM, Heat[/h]In the midst of reviewing Fox's 8 1/2 hours of Super Bowl coverage today, a quick 5 p.m. UM recruiting update with National Signing Day closing in on Wednesday:
### Booker T. Washington defensive end Chad Thomas, UM's only five-star oral commitment, has consistently told The Herald that he is 1000 percent committed to UM. His coach (Tim Harris) has told us that he expects Thomas will sign with Miami on Wednesday. But sometimes recruits tell school websites what they want to hear, and it's left to readers to make their own conclusions.
After completing his visit to Alabama on Sunday, Thomas told the Crimson Tide's rivals.com web site: "I am giving [Alabama] a good look. They gave me a lot to think about this weekend. Alabama is just different from Miami. Everything is different... It's different in a good way." He said he probably won't make a decision until a few hours before he signs.
Crimson Tide assistant coach Mario Cristobal, who was a UM assistant last winter for what seemed like a half hour, spent part of the weekend trying to get Thomas to flip.
### Tim Harris Jr. told Canesport.com's Matt Shodell that "there's definitely a chance" Booker T. quarterback Treon Harris could sign with UM (where he visited this weekend), but he remains an FSU oral commitment. Harris also wouldn't rule out UF or Auburn.
### North Carolina-based defensive tackle Lamont Gaillard, a Georgia oral commitment, told Shodell that his UM visit "was a good trip," a 7 or 8 on a scale of 10 and "it gave me a whole lot of stuff to think about." But he said he doesn't know that the visit pulled UM even with Georgia.
### An associate of four-star defensive tackle Travonte Valentine told us Valentine spent the weekend with family instead of visiting UM. But his mother told Canesport.com this afternoon that UM and LSU "are tied. It's 50/50." He will make a decision over the next two days and announce at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

agree 100%. We need to put up that fence around south florida again. That fence has more holes these days then the US-Mexico border. Anyone can get the true canes. We need guys that can go get cook, Lane, rudolph, Sony, Valentine, Dixon etc. We should have been able to pick which of those we wanted and had an elite compliment of weapons for Olson/Kaaya

If you'd asked me about Gibbons, I would have expressed some misgivings. Did not seem like a Miami kid to begin with. Just had that feeling.

Wouldn't be surprised if it happened and wouldn't blame him either. Miami's music program is the only thing keeping this kid around anyway.

@CTCane I couldn't agree with you more. I live in NYC but I bleed Orange and Green. I read these boards to try to get some information I can't get elsewhere. But what I've found is so many so called "Hurricanes" fans on this board are a bunch of self loathing, crybaby whiners who basically hate their own team. I am also a Jets fan and despite the fact that I root for a team that probably won't ever win in my lifetime, myself and most of that fan base LOVE our team and have a 1000% more pride for that team than a lot of the posters on this board have for the Canes. Just by reading this board alone, I would think that The U has never won a National Championship and is coming off a 3 win season. If recruits ever read this board, no one would ever commit to play for the Canes.
