Chad lettin local traitors know..

I think if FSU closes with the players people THINK they will get their offensive class will be better then ours. I wouldnt take any other defensive class in the country over ours except MAYBE ALA. So I guess in about 2-3 years we will see who wins out in that war of FSU offense vs UM defense. Should be fun.

LSU will have a monster defensive also, but you are right I would not trade our defensive class for anybody's especially if we get JC Jackson.....

This seems like the icing on the cake I needed to convince me Cook to FSU.

Really could care less...our class is incredible led by monsters like Chad Thomas. I am very very happy with this class as should the rest of Cane nation.

I hate ifs but if we keep everyone and if Gray qualifies if Griffin qualifies and JC flips this is a great, great class.

Don't know about those that aren't coming, but we got some high character commits , Berrios, Jenkins, Mcdermott.. Kids that rep this U hard and several that even told Utban to suck a d!ck!

Class is **** good no doubt. That being said 2014 and 2015 were/are supposed to be elite and not something that come around every year down here in S Fl and why some feel this is our best opportunity to close that breach between us n that school up north. We haven't had a class with this much talent since 2008. We are loading up on talent for sure, but if we don't get a couple of the remaining kids, that gap isn't gonna close all that much.

disagree

The gap is large, but it's really as drastic as some are painting it to me.

We lost by 4 touchdowns this year.

I'd say two of those touchdowns was the difference between the QB's and the other two is a combination of the depth along the defensive line and playmakers on the defensive side.

2 TDs is still a huge difference from a spread standpoint, especially in a rivalry game. We will see where we truly are next year when we play them at home. While we are still lacking overall we have play makers scattered on both sides of the ball, to the point where maybe we steal one or at least give them a game that goes down to the wire.

I think we have bonafide playmakers on the offensive side, but they aren't afforded the opportunity to shine, because the QB doesn't put them in position to do so. We're adding Yearby and Berrios who will probably be ready to go from Day Uno. Another year for Herb and another year of recovery for Malcolm. I also like our weapons coupled with Ryan Williams better than I like them with Morris.

On defense, we've got much farther to go, but the JUCO talent should truly help solidify us up front. Kamalu looked like a keeper to me and Wyche/Heurtelou, if nothing else, will provide solid depth. The secondary is READY. Even without pulling JC Jackson, I think the addition of Hester makes this look like a REAL Miami secondary. Carter should take a step in the next year and I expect that Deon will get back to being Deon Bush after the sophomore slump.

The difference in the game this year, was the difference between Jameis Winston vs. Stephen Morris and Timmy Jernigan-Mario Edwards-Lawrence Stample vs. Chickillo-Hunter Renfrow-Olsen Pierre. That separation is WIDE between those players and I believe that the game was won and lost there.

Spot on that last paragraph, no arguments there. In terms of our offense, I feel we are still slightly behind there. The Malcolm situation is a mother ******, I dont think people realize how good this kid could be, especially now that we have Coley. Malcolm can do everything you ask for a WR above average, nothing great or elite but every thing above average, well rounded skill set. He isnt a true #1, but put him next to a true #1 like Coley going against the 2nd CB on any team, and you would have people on here arguing if he isnt better than Coley. That injury was a *****, it sucks to not have seen him fully recover YET. What makes that situation even worse is that the 2012 WR class looked so strong on paper, and then we lose Lockhart to transfer, AJL to grades, and then that **** injury.

Which brings me to the whole level of talent on offense. We are decent there, with most of the weight being carried by Coley and Duke, but not quite there. Our RBs were pedestrian this year outside of Duke. Waters is a good player, but I just dont see him being a go to guy. He is still a solid player, but Ive seen fellow Canes overrate him. We got potential all over on offense but I still remain cautious on how we really are there. Here is something to consider, I think Langham redshirst, but Powell, Yearby and Berrios will all have an opportunity to make an impact next year, partly because they are talented kids, but whenever 3 true freshman can and in a way are expected to make an impact, you aren't quite there just yet.........

Ehh.. That might be true but people say this EVERY year. "The next year or two has better talent than this years class so just wait until then."

No they dont actually......
Since I started following this stuff pretty much religiously with the 2003 class, there have been 4 cycles with crazy hype, them being 08, 10, 14 and 15. Some say that every year is better because they are rationalizing our recruiting losses but 2014 and 15 are monster years in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

I've been following since 2010 and I know that isn't as long but it has been said every year that I have followed. I remember how Golden threw together the class at the last second and everyone said not to worry because the 2012 class was way better than 2011's. Maybe you didn't say that but a lot of people do it every year..

Just did a real quick search and found this http://www.canesinsight.com/threads/7519-quot-Dream-School-quot. Found another one but not sure how to link a specifc post. Canesinsight wasn't around the year before the 2012 class.

FSU has a big gap on us in the junior/senior classes. After next year Miami should be right there with them in 2015 especially if Winston leaves.

They actually have an advantage on us through all 4 classes overall. Our freshman and soph classes are respectable but theirs are still much better, it just doesn't seem as bad because the difference between our Junior and Senior classes was astronomical. Our class is great but if they close like many say they will, they will in fact have a better class once again......

There always had better classes than us but as big a difference as recently. This class puts us in the game. We have a couple QBs where we always and the edge. And FINALLY we have some DTs where our other big advantage was. Now our coaches have to bring it and we have a shot.

This young man has been as solid a commit that you could hope for. Gonna be a beast on the field and a class act off it. Chad and Darling and Duke to name a few just Miami kids that get the U thing. They understand at such a young age. Along with some OOS kids like AQM, Berrios, Kaaya and Gall. I think Al is putting together a great group. Hopefully the coaching x's & o's start to make us all a little more comfortable. If so we gonna be back soon!
