Then why
Yes. Being in the same pod doesn’t automatically trigger H2H comparison because other factors were in play. If/when back to back, then H2H gets applied.
Then why did Texas jump Vandy? They weren’t next each other. Vandy hammered a (although they shouldn’t have been) ranked Tennessee!

IF BYU wins, is ND out?

👀

Yes, and so are we, officially. BYU would just jump ND and that’d be that. Bama isn’t falling out of the top 10 unless they lose Saturday & Ty Simpson gets in a car crash otw home Saturday and even then they’d probably keep that under wraps and stash the witnesses and take their phones until the rankings are released.

That’s what I’m banking on happening, nothing has went our way for 3 weeks but I think the football gods will take mercy on us with a blowout TT win …it would be str8 voodoo for it to go any other way..

How has the pressure campaign influenced them. Out of us, Bama, ND and BYU we were the only team to go on the road and play a ranked opponent. We won by 31 points and we stayed put. Bama moved up (we all know why to protect them and the SEC) and then they moved ND down and we still didn’t jump them. Now it’s “we have to be next to them”. Which is another made up criteria. Bama loses and they will put them at 10 and ND back to 9 to not have that discussion, again. We need bama to win and BYU to lose by a lot.
The funniest thing about this narrative is there's literally nothing Miami can do to "get next to" ND this week. It seems like the logic for the committee is this week Miami and ND are so far apart H2H is irrelevant. But magically, after a possible BYU or Bama loss on Saturday, Miami is a better team than ND, now worthy getting into the playoffs? I mean I'd take the outcome, but the logic is crazy.

Even ND getting jumped by Bama this week makes no sense. So last week ND is a "dominant" team on the rise with 9 (now 10) straight victories, but this week, their dominance was irrelevant compared to Bama's 7 point win at a 5-7 Auburn?

I think I'd rather the committee give no comments about the rankings moving forward. At least then I won't know for certain they're just making everything up.

With the exception of that idiot Joey Galloway, practically every sports media personality and even politicians are slamming this sham called the CFB Playoff Committee. It makes absolutely no sense why the committee seems dead set on some of metrics they’re using to select the playoff teams.
The NCAA and the CFP committee don’t care. At all. They’re going to do what they do - stuff the brackets with SEC and B1G teams. Period. It’s that simple.

This is what happens when you lose to Louisville and SMU.... You leave the door wide open for all this crap to follow and fester..... I still hope we can squeeze in somehow it just doesn't look good as of right now....

to make the SEC happy. And Texas beat #3 ranked A&M. Way too big of a bump but who is challenging them?

Miami beat #22 ranked Pitt by 31 on the road and didn't move a spot....

Nope. Just securing the spot for Bama and placing all the risk of a BYU win on ND. Has zero to do with Miami and everything to do with protecting the SEC. Even this whole Miami/ND argument has played right into their hands. Miami and ND both should be in before a 5th SEC team.
Greg Sankey manipulation at it’s finest.

As I’ve been saying for weeks, UM and ACC should be spending 7 figures on marketing attacking the committee. That angle may be working. They are politicians.
