For the life of my I do not understand how Clemson's loss to Syracuse is so forgivable, while ours, without our star RB, hobbled WR, and basically a backup QB all year gets NO grace.
What do you mean by "Backup QB all year"? Who was the starter that go injured?
Your mad that the committee seems to favor Clemson....OK....But
If one team is getting favored.....that means another is getting screwed......Who is getting screwed and why?
Can't say us.......5 teams ahead of us you can easily make a clear cut argument that they deserve to be ahead of us at this point....only #6 UGA is not clear cut.
I don't think Rosier was ever meant to be the starter here, do you? Kaaya left early, inexplicably, and SOMEONE had to be the starter.
As for who is getting screwed. Well, Clemson is #1 while we are #7 , with similar wins and losses. You don't think that's a ********?
Kaaya left last year......So the committee should cut us slack because Rosier was the best QB we have on the roster starting the season? That is a weak argument.
It is not ********.....It is similar losses.....not wins.
Best Wins......
Clemson has a win over #2 Auburn. We have a win over #15 Notre Dame (Both at Home).....Advantage Clemson
Clemson beat VT at VT by 14. We beat VT at home by 18. Advantage Clemson (road win)
Also Road wins.
Clemson
9-3 VT by 14 points
8-4 Louisville by 26 points
8-4 NC State by 14 points
8-4 South Carolina by 24 points
Miami Road wins
5-6 FSU by 4 points
6-6 Duke by 25 points
3-9 UNC by 5 points
Are you going to still argue it is similar wins? Pretty obvious it is not.
It is not similar wins and losses.....It is similar losses.
No schedule will EVER be perfectly even, and you know this. That's why you compare similar results. They lost to Syracuse, and we beat them. Even AFTER that, they were keeping Clemson ahead of us, even with our undefeated record at the time. Also... Auburn lost to LSU, who lost to TROY. Could it be, just maybe, that the SEC was vastly over rated? Troy beat LSU AT LSU, and LSU beat Auburn. That tells me something about Auburn. So, Auburn beat Georgia and Alabama. Who did Alabama beat? Who did Georgia beat? Georgia beat the same ND team by one that we beat by 33. So, how good is Georgia really? Seems to me the SEC is getting WAY too much credit for beating up on itself, while really proving NOTHING OOC. So really, Clemson beating Auburn means little to me. All it tells me is the SEC is over rated because they don't actually beat OOC teams.
If you are not even going entertain the fact that the Miami and Clemson schedules are wildly different and matter there is no point in arguing anymore.
The 4 Power 5 road victories over 8+ win teams by 14 points (Miami didn't have a road win over a team with a winning record and needed last minute plays against 2 losing teams)
The 6 Power 5 victories over teams with winning records (Miami has 2)
For you to honestly sit here and claim that any other scenario you would be arguing for a team with Miami's resume to be ranked ahead of Clemson is truly laughable.
This is 100% pure Orange and Green Glasses stuff.
