on ESPNU, a guy just said the most attractive opening right now is Miami. Because Brad Kaaya for 2 more years and the recruiting base.

South Carolina is most overrated job.

I'd agree. We still have holes (o-line, LB, and CB depth), but we have plenty of talent returning for next year. A good coach will step in and win immediately, and when he does that, the recruits will flock here. We had decent recruiting classes without winning with Al at the helm. We should be able to keep a lot of those S Fla kids that Al wasn't able to keep home now. Assuming they don't dork-up the hire.

Who was it? Kanell? Can't think of a ton of other eSECpn'ers that'd say that.

he also said Cristobal was our best option, which was disappointing. everyone seems to be forgetting the way he left FIU

Watching right now. We're definitely top 2, maybe USC may be a more intriguing option; however no one is as close to such an abundance of talent like the U is.

the Stadium will hold this program down until a new option is presented. we can’t have 30% full stadium and expect to get a good coach or best recruits.

He was asked 1 out 10 what u would you rate the coaching opportunity at Miami. He said a 10...also mentioned that the lack of fan support at games is not a problem because onfield production will change that.

Finally. I don't get how some in the media think the USCe is a good job - some think it's better than Miami! Smh

With exciting, winning football that stadium won't be only 30% full. We may not ever pack it for games against Bethune, but the stadium is hardly a millstone around the programs neck.

South Carolina is a middling job at best. A HOF HC couldn't even win the conference in his ten years there. The same HOF HC who won the sec almost every year at UF, won a NC at UF and played for another. The best he could do at SC was compete for his division a few times.

That program has accomplished nothing in its entire history.

Didnt they say during the Clemson beatdown that the AD was in the process of trying to make Sunlife more like a college stadium by covering the top seats and bringing the fans closer in. Temporary solution...

Then you might as well shut the program down. The stadium is not the reason the stands are 30% full. The product on the field is the reason people don't show up.

Rick Newweasel just spent 3 hours openly begging for the UM job on his show. He's done nothing of the sort for the other open jobs like Maryland or South Carolina or UCF.

Coaches know what can be done at UM.

Impossible. Apparently it's not a desirable job. Well, at least that's what Golden said not too long ago.

a good coach will put asses in the seats. its never going to be ohio state or michigan but we start winning and there will be a lot more excitement in that place.
