Cecil Cherry

I would rather have Miami use the scholarship on 2015 DT Duvonta Lampkin who is waiting to be released from his NLI by Texas. Miami needs dlinemen more than LB's and 6'4" 310lbs DT's that move like Lampkin don't grow on trees. An Lampkin will be eligible immediately, but will most likely redshirt were ever he goes and 5 years to play 4.

Let's hope Miami can close the deal with him and pass on transferring LB Cecil Cherry.

Our lb depth is pathetic

Forget Strong and the scheme. Kid didn't give it a chance. If you decide to play for a school, man up and compete! It's culture shock to some of these kids when they all of a sudden realize there are better or as good players than them. Still want to be suckled.

This and the fact golden has already turned down bostwick who definitely wanted in here. Lampkin we have no clue if he truly will come here once realeased. I rather have cherry then lampkin. Although cherry reminds me of juwon young alil.

I am shocked that Miami told Bostwick no!

I think Cecil Cherry ends up at either UF or UCF. Funny thing is Cecil Cherry received his release from Texas today, and Duvonta Lampkin has to wait another 2 weeks or so for his NLI release.

If y'all read the article about why he transferred, you would see that this kid a mental midget. Pass. I don't care if he can hit like a Mack Truck. Kid comes off as a giant *****

I don't want Bostwick.. he had his chance he said no.. let that trash go somewhere else. bet we don't hear about this guy anymore.

Even last year, when I looked at Cecil Cherry's film...I saw Jeff Luc part deux. I think he's maxed out his potential and won't develop any further.

If he comes, fine. Whatever. But I think he's hit his ceiling, and the cutting & running from Texass is a red flag to me.

This kids mentality of quitting, when things don't go their way, fits in perfectly down there in coral gables with our players.

Strong is gonna get fired at Texas, his team isn't good enough. & the Texas fans have HIGH expectations. I think they start out 2-4 this season.

Would someone needs to get cut?
So how does UM Football find the space since they are full at 80:

Hunter Wells OL 6-6 316 RSr. Canton, Ill. (Canton HS)
Gray Crow QB 6-3 224 RJr. Clearwater, Fla. (Countryside HS)
Jelani Hamilton DL 6-5 302 RJr. Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (St. Thomas Aquinas HS)
Joe Brown OL 6-4 331 RFr. Paramount, Calif. (Paramount HS)
Terry McCray LB 6-3 223 RFr. Pompano Beach, Fla. (Blanche Ely HS)

Maybe Gray Crow will graduate this year and transfer to some D3 school where he will get some PT

Highly doubt lampkin will even consider us. He probably knows where he's going already. Also, I believe cherry is sitting out a year. Lampkin could leave anytime he wants (but he would have to sit). Lampkin wants a NLI release which would mean he could play right away

USF is the team to watch here.
