Cecil Cherry

Strong must have lies to him and told him he could have the #3 when he gets here... then told him he had to earn it...

Would take him in a second

With our current recruits there isn't a spot for him

Why do you say this?
Yea lets forget for a second none of these kids have proven they can play at the college level, cherry included. You take this kid in a heartbeat. He can redshirt and still have 4 to play. Shaq and zach very well maybe able to come in and start right away but this kid is 2015, they are 2016 and we could use quality depth at that position. RB and LB are the two postions you can bever have enough studs at seeing they take the most and hardest hits consistently.

None of the 2016 commits are set in stone until February. I doubt it but it is possible that Jermaine Grace leaves for the NFL after this year, Kirby is graduating, and McCord is graduating. That would be 3 of our top 4 LB not returning. Whether Shaq, Zach, and Mike come or not who knows how ready to play they will be or how quick they pick up the system.

I'd be all in. He was one of the best LB in the state last year

Take him, he won't transfer again so at least he'll stick around after Golden gets fired.

You don't want that kid here.

Something about only spending three-days in practice before quitting is a major red flag to me.

Unbelievably overrated recruit because he's an amazing hitter. Just an awful athlete.

Exactly . You can't count on the guys committed, we should've learned our lesson about that. Odds are half these kids will decommitt, leaving at the alter once again.

You take the sure thing, a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.

I would rather have Miami use the scholarship on 2015 DT Duvonta Lampkin who is waiting to be released from his NLI by Texas. Miami needs dlinemen more than LB's and 6'4" 310lbs DT's that move like Lampkin don't grow on trees. An Lampkin will be eligible immediately, but will most likely redshirt were ever he goes and 5 years to play 4.

Let's hope Miami can close the deal with him and pass on transferring LB Cecil Cherry.

Go Canes
