No matter who we get, we need a change in who is coaching them up, and putting them in better situations, scheme wise!
This ain't cool. I'm rooting for the kid though.
"Try spending two years in a row in Tallahassee for FAMU homecoming and type that last sentence again" - @HurricanePhillyAll I know is what I saw in 2024 games. Couldn’t tell you anything about his background or track times or any of that.
Stiff dudes with slow feet don’t usually change. Hips don’t loosen with experience.
We aren't even 12 months from identifying a local three-star and watching him become a freshman All-American. Some of y'all cry just because it is more fun than saying something level-headed.Just not sure how the fact DJ is a borderline NFL corner on one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL makes up for getting cooked and looking like he pulled a hamstring against MTS****inU. And definitely don’t know how any of that equates to this guy. Our evals have been terrible. Our development worse. Taking a traits kid without the staff to develop traits means I get to watch more guys run wide *** open against us next year
we also saw Jaden Harris play 12 games and cornerbacks do 360 spins at the lineWe aren't even 12 months from identifying a local three-star and watching him become a freshman All-American. Some of y'all cry just because it is more fun than saying something level-headed.
Feels like a great time to be levelheaded about the track record in the secondary (some good, a lot of not good) instead of filling your diaper.we also saw Jaden Harris play 12 games and cornerbacks do 360 spins at the line
I don’t give a **** how tall they are if they don’t have cover skills. “Long and fast” is fine but it’s useless if they don’t have the skills to play the position.idk if this guy will even be useable, but I think some of yall need to relax. When you're remaking a room not everyone will be a hit.
We have had one of the smallest and slowest groups of DBs (especially cornerbacks) in the nation.
Now we are recruiting and getting commitments from corners that are 6'3" a nickel that is 6'0", we gained size at safety moving from Harris to Poyser. O'Connor is 6'1", Taco Davis is 6'4", Xavier Lucas is 6'2".
I see what they are trying to do here. Gonna see how it goes.
D$ and others can chime in with track times to see if we've improved there, too.
We needed to remake the room in a different image. We've been small and slow on defense since Manny's been here. Time to change that.
1 good. the portal additions tho I do like this year (Brantley, the S).Feels like a great time to be levelheaded about the track record in the secondary (some good, a lot of not good) instead of filling your diaper.
A+ ELITE
The board is so convinced he’s mid that I see a Heisman trophy in his future
travis hunter reincarnatedA poor man's Charles Woodson.
Fair, only one good, but Brown was trending up before getting hurt and I am cautiously optimistic about Patterson. ****, I may be even more curious to see if Ryan Mack is any good. The room needs quality depth more than anything, so I this feels fine by me so long as they aren't done adding.1 good. the portal additions tho I do like this year (Brantley, the S).
That's where the development part comes into play. All the talent and measurables don't mean anything if you don't develop them.I don’t give a **** how tall they are if they don’t have cover skills. “Long and fast” is fine but it’s useless if they don’t have the skills to play the position.
You changed your avi and now you're i mope. Crazy rebrand but happy to have youStaff went cheap on Ponds and made their bed. We are run by idiots and a midget who is clueless for that side of the ball.
Just speaking facts. They knew in March what they had and didn’t have. They believed what they had was good enough. They ruined a special offense and season because there are ******* morons making decisions. You changed your avi and now you're i mope. Crazy rebrand but happy to have you
Ole Miss and Michigan wanted him! Look at the offer listNot gonna hype this one up.
He had terrible ball skills and gave huge cushions and that is why he wasn't as impactful as a future NFL player should have been for UM.He is an NFL corner. That’s a fact. I said it ahead of time and got called a lunatic.
He did not play that way here. Part of that was coaching. Part of it was Ivey himself. But, as I and coaches like TRob said at the time, a big reason he underachieved is because he lost confidence. And that’s due in no small part to maniac fans that were extremely loud on social media.
Maybe he shouldn’t have paid attention to that stuff. But it’s real. Look at how grown men on here react to internet arguments.
