The 5’10 Jennings that ran a low 4.4 in Indy and went on to be an R1 pick? I don’t agree with that one lol.

Sam Webb is a hack who constantly cries about NIL when Michigan loses a kid yet thinks them landing Underwood was just "good recruiting".
At least Gaby doesn't make excuses/lie about when Miami doesn't land someone. Webb is yet another one of these trash BIG 10/SEC writers who cannot imagine why a player would ever go to Miami.

Always great to get one over on Cheatagain.
He's got good physical upside & IQ.
His footwork needs refinement. He's more of an Off-cover Corner than pure Man. He plays a lot of Man which is good for his early development, but there are things he does out of his stance that have to be corrected. In off coverage he's ahead of the curve.
If he sticks at Corner, he's a Boundary that will play well in short area/intermediate coverage routes, but struggle covering the deep ball.
When everything is in front of him he shows very good awareness & route recognition.
I think he projects best at FS, he reminds me of Adon Shuler.
If they keep him at Corner he'll need some continuity in the teaching he receives to learn to utilize his arm length as his best weapon & maximize his physicality to keep WR's in front of him.
I like him better than I liked Ewald last year. I'm interested to see what his internal competitive fire is like, because the CB room is going to very crowded next Spring.
But overall I like the flip.
I'd say currently we have a top 5 CB haul & when we land 2 more Safeties would put us into the top 5 overall DB haul as well.

You alluded to possibly moving this kid to safety somewhere down the line and I was wondering if that’s the plan, not necessarily for this kid but for at least one or two of the other corners they’ve recently picked up. It seems to me we’ve had a run of signing safeties who played more like linebackers and struggled in space or in deeper coverage. Maybe we have better luck converting more fluid, cover-types into safeties? DB isn’t something I know a lot about so I usually defer to your opinion on that regards.

Just an awful comparison through and through. I hope they put this kid at S and use his versatility to play CB when you need because he can be clearly cover a small area if asked to. As a CB I don’t think he is on the same level as Seatbelt or Wyman which is fine because we need Safeties.
