Cavazos details recent trip to UM, connection to Diaz

Seems like a bag situation to me but hopefully im just over thinking this situation.
His dad has been around recruiting a long time. Has probably seen some success and some kids get heartbroken.
I think he wants his kid to choose and would like his own son to go to the school that can develop him the best and give him the most exposure. For whatever reason this kid hasn’t said anything about bama at all which I think is a good thing.
We have a lot of good things that can happen this season as well as hopefully getting some db’s to go earlier rather than later.
I really don’t think it’s a bag situation with this kid at all.

The kid's family has money, this aint a bag sutuation. Another talented CB we're recruiting that is most likely a bag situation, is Fred Davis.

The idea that just because the kid comes from money means he's not looking for bags is ludicrous. After the show this kid just put on, he will be offered upwards to 250 K by the time it is all said and done.

Whether or not that's what he's looking for, who knows, but every school he listed (except for us naturally) are heavy players in the bag game. If a school like Texas AM or Oklahoma suddenly enter the picture, then we'll really know what he's about.

Lol at bags being outlandish i have no info on this kid or his pops but from what was posted about his dad handling kids recruitments sounds a lot like genron.

As i stated hopefully im wrong and i didnt get that feel from @Stefan Adams article. But when i hear about handlers involved in recruiting it exclusively deals with bags.

Kid fits UM perfectly. Plus family relationship. They need not to mess up this recruitment.
Exactly! Just read those quotes. We definitely made an impression on him. We have this kids full attention. We need to take advantage of the momentum we have and work towards closing the deal.

Both Lejond and his dad gave interviews to another site. The father was very specific about the family needing to feel comfortable with the staff at whatever school Lejond attends. He said" they 'won't necessarily tell him where to go but they WILL tell him where he cannot go".

Dad going to be pretty involved here...

This will be a big fight for him vs OSU, LSU but it seems like we entered his top group based on filling the blanks. The family connection should prove major for us.

Sounds like his dad knew manny from fsu? That is about 25 years back for manny.

His dad is a coach in Texas w/ a latin background

also from pacusmc "His dad has his own recruiting advising company since the 90’s. Maybe manny or some of the teams he’s been on recruited some of his kids."

Unless he’s playing things real cool I didn’t get an overwhelmingly warm feeling. Given all the positives and connections to UM and Diaz, it wasn’t like UM is leading or anything. Maybe he’s just keeping it close to the vest.

he basically said it was his best visit yet....

Wanna help BLUUUUUUUUUUR all opposite The U as per Brantley? Help deliver viscous pay back on all the Donas that went somewhere else as per Cheney jr? And be surrounded with gangsters, fully-loaded savages," Metayer said his classmates. The stars are aligning guys.

That's a crazy list of schools he named. It's going to be tough. It's going to come down to if we perform better than last season. His measurables are off the charts. Has anyone seen him play though? I've seen the hudl but can he cover, tackle, does he take good angles? How are his instincts? No doubt a great coach should be able to develop a kid with his measurables but is his play as good as his testing numbers?
