I didn't watch (I will though).

Are you hearing some of the same info that is being put out there??

A few thoughts...

- Very tuned in of you to notice Highsmith comments on Miami Football... Baseball/Basketball not so much
-- A red flag for overall AD role
-- HOWEVER, his social media is filled with "bet against me and I'll show you" type of posts, so maybe AD role is within him just out of spite

- Think through the organizational design and how it achieves unity of effort...
-- AD with Highsmith as football GM is disaster... how does that truly work?
-- Does Miami install ADs for:
--- All other sports
--- Baseball (probably just lump them in with all others)
--- Basketball (bring a savage and develop an elite $$$$ program)
--- Football (bring a savage and develop an elite $$$$ program)

Something to be said for that type of focus... HOWEVER... they will all be competing for finite resources to satisfy infinite requirements...risk/reward with both models

- Bringing an AD that is scared of Football/Basketball HC will also be disaster

- Liked your thoughts on implementing NFL style scouting department... that isn't cheap though

Keep up the good work... Go Canes

I think Zo will be fine as AD if they bring on an experienced associate AD who will run the stuff Zo doesn’t want to deal with.

That being said, a prefer a guy like Jurich.

Yes. The fake insiders are out in full force but you know the names on who to trust. It’ll all come together soon.
Always found this fascinating about human psyche.

Those that claim to know, then reality proves them wrong. It's as if they can't recognize what is coming down the pike in 20 mins.

I suspect this will all be settled by 15 Jan +/-?

It all depends on what Oregon does. They lose to Utah either tomorrow or in the PAC12 CG and things could happen really fast.

Do you see a viable path if they go all the way to Natty... win or lose?

If Miami is truly making this long term committment, the right choice is getting the right HC at the right time. Not panicking over an artificial timeline. With that said, I can see pressure mounting to move on and get #2/#3/#4 on the list.

I think if Oregon went that far it would complicate the timeline. I don’t think MC would play us and drag it out as the people going after him have personal relationships with him. He’ll give us an answer one or the other very soon, if not already.

I'm interpreting your thoughts as somewhat overlapping with the Golden Canes guy (name can't remember and too lazy to go back to Le Batard podcast)...

the plot thickens...

If Oregon loses tomorrow the narrative will be that he was distracted by the Miami talk.
