Canes Weekly: Should the Canes “worry” about App St??

I think it's going to be more like 21-10 Canes win, with Kaaya looking more comfortable than last game. Give him more time under the new scheme to be fully acclimated.

dont get it twisted...CMR respects them enough to beat the living **** out of them

He is gonna say the right things because he is a professional. Dont assume the christian in him means he soft....he is a cane to heart and has that old skool "IDGF cane swag"

No fear...and if what I just heard is true, that Appy State's coach said our d-line is thin and that Kaaya doesn't like to be hit, then they better fear after giving us that locker room fodder. Can't wait to watch our 280 pound fullback hit one of their 240 pound d-lineman. We'll see who's thin real fast.

Where is this? He didn't actually say, or imply, those things about Kaaya and our D line, did he? Coaches usually stay real far away from that kind of stuff.

I don't see one aspect they can match. If this was Al golden, I would've bet the house on us losing but the team responds to CR and the staff. For the second week in a row we're gonna be a lesser teams superbowl and I won't be surprised if they come out hot, but just like fau, attrition will start to show quickly.

Their O- Line is better than Miami's by a wide margin. They can shorten the game if they can run the ball effectively. Those going LB's better get ready.

That's the problem . Those linebackers are going to be shooting gaps.

I hope some adjustments were made to the O-Line. If FAU can break through and disrupt BK the way they did APP ST is going to have a field day. Hope BK and the O-Line have a better day this Saturday. As soon as I saw this on the schedule I was worried. Bad thing is if we beat them we get no credit, but if we loose then we get the same old spill that Miami is mediocre. My best guess is Miami will fall behind early, maybe even down at half, but comeback to win 28-24. Close game and a huge learning experience for the freshman LB's.

Wide Margin?

Don't know if it's going to hail, the field become overrun by frogs and what other bizarre natural disaster, but from a football standpoint on a relatively normal day, their QB simply has not consistently made the throws necessary to beat our defense. So, again, I just can't see it.

I think we can win the game with Malik Rosier playing QB.

What the F do I know, I guess. Weird, weird line.

Some made up stuff. Satterfield was a starting QB for App in the 90's and knows how to use bulletin board material, he also knows not to poke the hornets nest. No college coach would ever publically say that about their opponents. He person who is saying he said that is talking out of their ***.

Good thing you'll have the play going the other direction with 7 blockers on 4 guys and two linebackers twenty yards behind the play.

Their OLine faces our DLine.

Since when did supporting your team become disrespectful? Quite frankly, I find it interesting that you mention that Tennessee was lucky to win, yet basically say it is a stretch for App to beat Miami, who arguably is not better than Tennessee.

App rolls. 35-13

Knew it. This 'billy's been drinking too much of that methanol contaminated shine.

Would probably be lead contaminants or other metal alloys from shine run through a radiator. What do I know though?

Next, this bord really needs to do some fact checking before declaring things as truths:

Coach never said Miami's defensive line depth or offensive line was thin. App didn't and has never played FAU. App didn't win the Sun belt last year. Virginia Texh fumbled the ball four times, but it was forced by UT defenders.

You have to respect this team, 11-1 last year

Respect? absolutely! Worry or fear? Nah Big Dawg…nah! We're a better team top to bottom. I have faith in our coaches and our talent. Everybody take a deep breath, and scrub the Goldilocks off! LOL

Our d will come to play. The O **** the bed last week and I expect them to be focused on executing. Things couldn't have went better last week in terms of exposing our flaws, improving in certain respects, no signifiant injuries, and most importantly winning the game. I expect to play power football and go at these dudes without being too fancy, in order to continue our focus on execution basic plays. M. Walton is the face of our offensive unit and they need to develop an identity like the defense has done. Richt needed to decide who they are as well, and I think after Saturday we all know.. These games are about getting surviving and advancing. We're far from a finished product so lets sit back and watch this team develop.

No one really f**king cares what some redneck has to say about some irrelevant school ( That would be App State ). You won't be heard from again come Saturday at 4 PM.

Really? Because I saw Clemson defend this offense &shut it down. Did they have linebackers run the wrong way?Your quarterback couldn't make the throws to make them back off. Clemson had seven or eighth tackles for lost in the first half.

Alex Donno kept saying it on WQAM on Tuesday night. Surprised me.
