That being said, the defense did noticeably take a step back this year. Was that because of Manny being less hands on, Baker struggling, apathy with the offense or just not being as good? Idk could be a combination. But our D def wasn’t dominant this past season.

True but the defense isn't the main reason why we are 6-7.you have to admit defense kept us in almost every game.

Oh you’re preaching to the choir here. I definitely agree that the D was good enough to win at least 9+ games. Offense was comically bad. Just felt the D wasn’t quite up to the standard of the 2 years before, based off the eye test.

No, he did that his second full year at Clemson. He took over halfway through the 2008 season, going 4-3. The next year they went 9-5, then 6-7. Dabo would have had billboards and banners after that third year for sure if he was at Miami. They didn't get reliably good and stop Clemsoning games until they got Venables from Oklahoma. They probably also increased their recruiting "budget" sometime in there too. If the boosters really want Miami to win, they need to start playing with the big boys from that standpoint. Kirby Smart immediately kicked up UGA's recruiting, with no record to stand on, and it's continued. Winning helps, but the financial issue has to be addressed. Seems that as long as the kid does not see any money directly, the NCAA can't do a thing. Cam Newton's father got paid. That guard's family at LSU got paid, which isn't hearsay. It came out in Federal court documents. I don't see anything happening to LSU for that.

I said Manny deserves scrutiny. We lost to 2 G5’s and some other bad teams. But him being fired after year 1 was never realistic. Either he will get it right or get fired next season, but if you think he deserves the type of **** said about him by our fans then we will just have to agree to disagree.

But the best part is not only cherry picking our defense stats, it’s in the wake of a garbage strength of schedule! GT beat ONE other team?! We lost to TWO conf USA teams and almost lost to CMich?!
