Canes vs. Texas Tech, Sunday June 1...

Love to be wrong but I am legitimately convinced we may not even sniff scoring another run, can't get that snafu erasing an RBI double from Palmer out of my mind

1-0, middle of 5th. We can't hit a fresham with 6 ERA and a slow fastball with no second pitch.

BTW, this pitcher has never seen a 6th inning from the mound, so maybe.....just maybe....we can get to him.

Mark Kingston would have crawled up someone's *** by now. Players, umpires, fat Texas Tech assistant, somebody. For Pete's sake, can we see some kind of emotion out there?

Funny you bring him up. Kingston is the front runner to be the new coach at Tulane. Rick Jones just stepped down at Tulane after 20 years, the last 8 being very Morris-esqe, and Kingston was Jones' #1 assistant from 2002-2008.
 
Salas with a nice little outing going against the #17 RPI team. He really settled down. 5 innings, 1 run, and he should probably be up 2-1. Kudos to the kid. Pitch count is high, he is probably done, one more inning max.

A few of us who follow the national scene have mentioned him for this job for a few years now. Doesn't look like it will happen, since we're happy with what we've been getting lately.

What are you talking about? This kid has a 3.40 ERA with .8 hits per inning this year. Not their ace, but no tomato can. Def has good stuff. Gotta get to him again.

He's done really well at Illinois State since leaving Tulane. As a Tulane fan too, I'd be happy to get him back at Tulane.
