Can any of you name a legit upset in this series? Typically when one team is clearly more talented, that's the team which gets the W. We are easily more talented, we got it but not by 21.

Miami was favored by 3 in 2021, at Doak, and lost. Not too far off from the -4.5 spread we have this week.

Miami has covered the first half and full game lines in all 3 games vs FBS teams this year.

That said, I have absolutely no idea how this game is going to go. I'm a spineless coward and keep flopping all around. But Alabama played HORRIBLY on offense, and scored 17. I just don't see how they hold us under 24, at absolute minimum.

So I'll go 31-25 good guys.

These games are just almost always close. In 2023, they were massive favorites, and we took them to the wire. In 2018, we were massive favorites, and they took us to the wire. There have been blowouts (2020, 2022, 2024, 2013), but those are usually in years when one team is miles and miles better than the other. I don't see that this year. I think we're considerably better, but I'd be pretty surprised if we went up there and won by 3 TDs or something like that.

The last 10 trips to Tally have been decided by:

7, 3, 17, 4, 5, 27 (their natty year), 4, 4, 8, and 3. Miami is 4-6 in those games.

I think we trade scores in the first half and then once Gus is off his script and Heatherman adjusts we separate in the second half.

I got 2 RBs going for 100 yds and Beck is efficient around 250 yds with a couple TDs.

Also think we get a defensive or ST TD.

Eh 2021 was a slight upset, tho you are correct. Both teams sucked. The better team seems to win at least 9 out of 10 in this series.

If Hetherman can scheme up a good defense we got this. We just don't know if he has an answer just yet. However playing with aggression and brutality is 90% of it.

Also they are playing into our strengths. They need to run. We are a brick wall vs the run and Hetherman is all about stopping the run. They need to run on the edge and we have 2 big dominant DE who might set the edge better than rush the QB. They are soft against the run, have an undersized DL and poor LB play. We dent the DL run on everybody. This is not a good matchup on paper for FSU.

Gus is going to throw 25 sideways passes to get around our strength.

Misdirection scares me. Maybe it's the 25 years of watching Miami defenses be completely fooled by it, but the #1 thing people talk about with Heatherman is it looks like 15 white hats on defense are flying at full-speed to the ball. You know **** well Malzahn is going to try to use that to our detriment. End-arounds, throw-back screens, counter, overloading one side and running back the other way, weak-side runs, etc. I want us to be ultra-aggressive, but disciplined in pursuit.

FVCK FSU..just win and cover. Beat them up and wear them down.
