Canes To Adidas Confirmed

Just give me a nice traditional Orange top white pants at home and white top and orange pants on the road. Orange should be our primary color. Nike was in love with green. Once a year they can crank something out for the guys who need to be trendy.

I bet Flake insisted that they somehow incorporate the clam to a greater extent on all future apparel.

I think the Clam belongs to Nike, was their idea in fact. Something they had a trademark on that nobody else could use. Hence why only Nike stuff had that logo on it.

Hopefully they stop messing with the helmets. Keep it classic, Adidas. I'm willing to have an open mind. Especially if that extra cash goes towards firing Golden.

What is Goldens buyout? What is the signing bonus of this Adidas contract?
Lets hope its close...

Now way in **** that extra $3 million goes towards Golden's contract. You guys are forgetting that this isn't a football contract it's for the entire athletics.

That extra money will go almost unnoticed. Maybe they will update a few things but I really doubt we see any of that extra $20-25 million over this 8 year span actually put to good use.

So embarrassing. Kids don't want to wear this garbage. We're truly 3rd tier.

Quit whining. You think a kid who is on the fence between Miami and a Nike school is going to use which brand produces the equipment as the deciding factor? Miami has thousands of other factors that add value and differentiate itself from other schools. And it's not like we're gonna be running around in trash bags.

"Adidas outfits 11 of the 65 power five conference schools, including Michigan, Louisville, Mississippi State, UCLA and Wisconsin." UCLA and Louisville have had some of the coolest uniforms in recent memory and Adidas has done a good job with traditional styles at Michigan, Mississippi State, and Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, Nike was making green helmets with ridiculous styling that didn't even match the green jerseys. I'm happy to give Adidas a shot and will refrain from prejudging them.

The colors not matching from Nike was so ugly. 2 different shades of green or orange. WTF is that

If Jim Harbaugh is smart, he will force Michigan to break their contract with Adidas and switch to Nike. There is no way he will ever win anything at Michigan if his team is wearing Adidas bullhiza stuff.

We'll see what happens. You guys complain about the admin making bad decisions all the time, and somehow this is a good one? Sounds legit, I'll exit thread.

Maybe Dorsett needs to get some Adidas shoes. Adidas says if the fastest player at the Combine is wearing their shoes they get 10k.

Dave Hyde ‏@davehydesports 20 minutes ago - U of Miami and its big uniform decision reminds me of Dolphins and their big logo decision. I'm not 14. I don't care too much. Just win.

Joe Garcia ‏@JGJr9 1 hour ago - Bunch of hypocrites on my TL today. If Adidas personally came to you and offered you 3M per to wear their stuff, not a single one says no.

Tim Reynolds @ByTimReynolds 2 hours ago - Nike, Adidas, LOUD NOISES. Is there anything that Hurricane fans won't break pitchforks out about? This is a serious question.

Truly amazing.

Ya'll bring up the university endowment and various fundraising efforts (Millennium 1 and 2) that generate funds specifically earmarked for academic and research ventures as a sign that "UM has the money but they're just too cheap to build a stadium, hire a good coach, etc, etc."

Then, when UM actually DOES something to make money that is earmarked for athletics only (move to the ACC for a steady paycheck, go with Adidas for an extra 3 mil/yr), those same people complain.
