Definitely some interesting takes. The fact that Malik is our backup Y should just further prove that our depth at some positions is pure garbage. Can't wait for Richt to start rolling with these recruiting classes.

I can see Gus Edwards getting the ball running behind Williams this game. Pound the **** out of them and see how they hold up. At the very least, do it when they are getting worn down in the 3rd.

This notion that we're lacking in depth at receiver is a farce.

May I ask why you think that Edwards will all of a suddenly become a part of the gameplan in week 3?

He didn't appear until late in the 3rd quarter against FAMU and didn't touch the ball once against FAU, and yet you people continue clamoring for the ******* guy like he's Eric ****erson.

Our beat writers are terrible.

They mentioned Chad and Norton, and I was terrified when I saw them go down, but both of them went back in at full speed with no extra bracing on or anything.

Corn even posted on twitter he's fine.

i did more research than them.

Right ,so no depth is an imagined problem. If 3 or 4 starters go down during the season that shouldnt effect us at all.

Excuses are excuses bro. Walk-ons, blue chips.... They're all the same.

Depth is just a word that rhymes with Lepth.

"No depth" is the new "Cloud".

The "no depth" mummies are completely out of control. We won our last NC with far less depth at WR than we have now.

Aside from LB and the quality of the backups along the OL I'm just not seeing it right now.

There's nothing gus provides us that the other two can't do better.
People say size but Walton plays more physical than gus does. I know richt will use him this season but honestly unless injuries happened we really wouldn't need him to step in, especially in a close contest

What a random statement (3-4 starters)...did the poster say it wouldn't impact us or did he say (in a sense) it is blown out of proportion?

Not for nothing, there are plenty of weapons and getting them the ball seems like the bigger issue. I don't see WR depth (today) as an issue on offense, it is pretty comical that some are creating one.

Seriously?

Are you watching a different team?

Different backs for different situations. That's all. I see him getting more carries, not starting over anyone.

Not just LB (which is INSANELY thin) and OL. Also CB. And let's face it, our safeties may have numbers but are not Miami-level.

The good news is that Kaaya is almost certainly coming back, along with the entire offense except Isadora, as well as all the LBs and DL. So secondary is only problem next year. A couple of transfers there could change everything.

I see them throwing to the RB a good bit. This will test our young LBs. Keep an eye on that.

Is the issue about WR depth a lack of good/proven players - or would people feel more comfortable with 10 healthy WRs? Because as Franchise pointed out earlier, we played 4 or 5 WRs back in the early 2000s and it was never a problem. And we run the ball more under Richt more than we have since Coker was the OC, so what exactly is the issue?
