"We have all the talent down here," said freshman defensive end Chad Thomas, a former Miami Booker T. Washington star when asked how competitive Miami could be with even more local products on its roster.

"I think people would like our practices more than our games. Practices would be more of the competition. The games would be blowouts every time we played."

Thanks to the tough minded kids who chose to come to Miami when it wasn't the coolest or most popular thing to do.

It doesn't take as much courage to join an empire as it does to help create your own.

That's for you Cooper, Sony, Rudolph, Matthew Thomas, etc...

Butch used to say this when he was recruiting coordinator under Jimmy. Maybe Jimmy said it himself, hard to remember.

I think it was Ed Reed who said "Winning the Big East is nothing. It's just something we hqve to go through to get to the National Championship."
