Back in the late 50's, early 60's the Bird Bowl had great bands & dancing on the weekend and a buffet. 1st time I was there it was raided by the police. Can't remember why but probably for serving alcohol to minors.

Not where you reside now, but your hometown where you grew up?

My family bounced around North Florida like some carnival workers, but we probably spent the most time in rural Escambia County (actually closer to Mobile, Alabama than Pensacola) and Daytona Beach.

Not many Canes in either of those places.

Where I grew up? Too long ago, can’t remember that far back.

Maybe my sister knows, I’ll call her. Now what’s her number?

Omaha is a nice city if you know where to go and if you love those float boat casinos. Reminds me of where I live now, a 1 1/2 hrs drive from me to KCMO.


Well, born in East Falls Philly (@MainLineCane would know some of these neighborhoods), raised in Germantiwn/Mt Airy/Pelham area of NW Philly, dad worked for the Navy, but blew his knees out falling off of a crane 37ft high in the air, so he became an auditor. Of course yall know I met Jerome Brown at a kids program and thought the guy was a superhero and watching the Iggles was ritual in Philly, fell in love with the guy, found out from my uncle he played for his fave team in College then I started watching college games with my (RIP) uncle Riy and I loved the Canes since. Jerome made a lot of Eagles fans from Philly (esp. The REAL ones, you know, @Dwinstitles and @Rellyrell) love the Canes.

My aunt has lived in Mt Airy .Germantown for like the last 40 years....UPTOWN UPTOWN @djnellz

Twin Cities, MN where I still live. Moms from Miami Gardens, dad went to FIU.. they lived with my moms grandma for some time in Miami Gardens before moving to MN where my dad is from and had kids. Gophers always sucked so was raised to like the Canes. Season ticket holders who fly down to a few games a season. Don’t know any Canes fans besides friends I’ve converted over the years.

Not a diss to you....butm guessing your parents are 40+....If so they arent from Miami Gardens....The name Miami Gardens is fairly new....So where were they from?. Only folks i'd say 23 and under would say they from Miami Gardens. @Wildnation
