here is some fun reading

Some quotes from them:

"I'm at the game right now, and I can say that we need something to change in the first few minutes. This crowd was rocking like I've never seen before only 2 minutes into the game. You can't have the crowd and players going nuts with 18 minutes left in the 1st half. I don't know what needs to be different, but something has to change.

On a side note, we are currently being embarrassed in front of Lebron and D Wade, so I would like things to change in the 2nd half."

"Miami will do just like FSU did last year they will beat UNC and Dook and win the ACC regular season and maybe the conference tourney then lose in the 3rd round. The fact is they have 4 seniors who have been defeated by UNC and dook and conference play is more important to them then winning it all or even making it to the sweet 16. Mark it down!!!"

"Kadji is old enough to be their grandpa"

"Not only are there tons of moving screens, the screeners are rolling off and grabbing the defender. How in the world can you defend that combo???"

"there are 5 guys on each team. why are 3 of their guys open?"

"Men against boys overmatched in this one"

"Don't worry folks. Once their 6 yr seniors leave after this year, Miami will suck again."

"Understand something folks, we are playing a Final Four/National Championship caliber team. This is what would happen if we didn't have to play a game in the tournament and skipped straight to the Final Four."

"We look like the Washington Generals out there"

"Miami better enjoy this. After they lose all their good players next year they will go back to the bottom.

Doesn't help this game but this is the end of their window.

Hard to be an experienced team that hits everything on their court"

"I think we have more air-balls than Miami has 3's. Pretty pathetic."

"Don't be so sure they will be at the bottom next year. We will still be in the league next year."

"Jim Larranaga's diary for Saturday:

1. Go to Starbuck's

2> Wax the Tar Heels
"

"IF UNC makes NCAA T, I say they go further than Miami."

Funny how much they were complaining about the refs, yet the refs constantly called travels and carries against Miami, and UNC still couldn't take advantage of that.

Good G-d, I hate Carolina fans, and I don't just mean UNC fans. I hate Duke, NC St, UNC and Wake fans. If Charlotte and East Carolina had fans, I'd hate them too. Throw in Appy State and Davidson. They can all die.

MOAR stories/recaps:

No. 8Miami 87, North Carolina 61
It's hard for a 26-point margin not to fully reflect the lopsided nature of a game, but this game was never in doubt after Miami jumped out to a 9-0 lead. The Hurricanes banged 15 three-pointers. Shane Larkin, Kenny Kadji and Durand Scott combined for 52 points in an efficient, balanced attack. Larkin also had a career-high nine assists. Reggie Bullock was UNC's lone bright spot with 14 points and seven boards.
Quick takeaways: Miami is not getting full due for its accomplishments, principally because it's Miami, a program with limited cachet located outside the sport's epicenters. If Duke or North Carolina were 10-0 in the ACC and unbeaten with its full roster available, you'd certainly be hearing more about where they fit in the elite picture. And that team surely wouldn't be ranked eighth. The Hurricanes were literally men among boys today, with their age and size advantage rendering the Tar Heels more or less helpless. This Canes team has the frontcourt, guard play and coaching to be very, very serious March contenders. If you have been sleeping on them until now, it's time you woke up, and not because they manhandled a mediocre North Carolina team which likely will make the NCAAs, but has very little upside at this point.

I liked the one quote from the UNC board about how it's hard to gaurd a 7 ft. 25 year old man who makes 90% of his 3s. Lol.

I didnt want to start a whole new thread but did anyone hear the story about how Coach L got the Miami job yesterday? Coach L does not have a resume. So when the job came open, he sent a link to his Wikipedia page and some other documents to the Ginger. The rest is history.

How ******* lucky are we?

Yeah, I had read that a couple of weeks ago, but amazing story. Like how they said it was Frank Martin's job to lose. Unless I'm mistaken, we never really considered him even though a lot of fans crowned him the GOAT.
