Canes Convos: Defense talks winning the "physical war" with LSU, players-only meetings

This is the last thing I'm going to say about the LSU game because it's over and gone, but I'm severely disappointed in almost everyone associated with the programs response, aside from Diaz, to the loss.

It reeks of, we thought we were a lot better than we really are, we better sack up because there's a lot of teams looking at us sideways now.

We were very physical so I agree... Gerald Willis was the most dominant on the entire field and our defense for the most part were flying around lol

I saw nothing physical about our LBer or safety play. Most of the time LSU's RB's were able to fall forward and drag Miami defenders for an extra yard or two. Physical is pancaking a runningback backwards, or shoving a guard into the fullback disrupting the whole play. That's the kinda physical play that dominates an offense.

Its hard to claim any winning during that game. We took one... maybe they didn't push all over the field like the SEC predicted... but we didn't win anything in that game.

I'm not understanding how one 50 yard run broke the teams spirit. There was still PLENTY of time left at that point. We came back from far worse deficits last season. Hopefully some of our freshman like Jordan and Blades can become the vocal leader we need to fire the team up!
And someone on the team needs to pull a Tonya Harding and break Feagles weak *** leg to get his *** outta here
You know why that 50 yd run deflated them? Because ,just like most of the fans ,they were expecting to completely dominate on D and when they didnt they told themselves they sucked.

Is it just me or what we are hearing is the new generation sounding like a bunch of memes. We don't hear the we gotta toughen up, let's go out there and hit someone in the f'ng mouth, I'm a f'ng soldier! Instead is a bunch of quotes.
Welcome to tweeter ball everyone has big cahonies

We played bad, but the worse thing about an internet connection is dudes who are "fans" get all up in their feels and start ranting, picking words and interviews apart with their own agenda, and basically misconstrue words to fit their POV.
No, the worst are the f'ing coach nut slurping fans who defended Coker, Shannon and Golden to the death at the expense of the players and team called the Miami Hurricanes. They can go fawk themselves

I see someone is stalking me now. I like it. and yes the worse thing about the internet is you have a connection to to spew nonsense up and down. Come with some substance without the whinny rants.

No more moral victories please. Just when I was getting over my Al Goldenization I read this. Even when he's gone his presence is still felt case in point, the starting QB.

When the players start making excuses and talking about winning small battles that's a bad sign IMO.

So since we had more yards on offense and gave up less we technically won, GTFOH.

Yeah that was some non sensical ****.
Embarrassing really

We’ve had a “pretty good” defense under the current regime, I’d really like to see our D take the next step and say “F@ck if our offense is struggling, let’s win the game”

Pittsburg last year is a prime example

Based on the quotes, I hope a rift doesn’t develop between the defense and offense

We did not win the physical war...

What’s next? Deserve victory or Champions of life?

Anyone got a copy of the game the players are talking about? It sure as **** isnt the one they showed on TV.

"Players only meeting"

Jesus wept.

The fact that they had to have one means there are no real leaders on the team.
