This will be a great test for Rosario. With the lineup coming into focus (Levenson and Gutierrez might be taking steps forward) it would be massive to have Rosario pitch up to his potential on Sunday’s.
Big day for Rosario. If he continues to pitch well in the Sunday slot I think we’re looking at a top 5 staff and bullpen in America. The bridge guy to ziehl still scares me but we can keep tinkering with that til postseason.
Let’s get a sweep! Hopefully the light stays juiced up
So I am not great with pitching numbers and stuff, but with Ziehl throwing about ~20 between Fri/Sat and Walters nearing 40, will either be available? I assume no for Walters with the shorter rest with an afternoon game, but could we see Ziehl in the 9th in a save situation?
Huge game for Rosario, really hope he can learn from Palmquist and Ligon that a bad inning, or even a bad pitch/error is something you just need to erase from your mind and get the next guy out.
Kayfus may not be your typical sized first baseman but he absolutely makes up for it with athletic ability on first. None of our 1b’s in recent memory could make that play to finish the inning or last night to end game
