I started to type before the AB that this was a bad matchup for Farrel. He's been awful all year against sliders. Haven't seen him even foul one off.

Sure enough. He strikes out without making contact.

The problem with that is our low contact rate in those spots. Can’t get lucky if you don’t even put it in play.
