That’s what tends to seperate northern and southern schools. They can put together good front end of the rotation starters and lineups, but they often lack pitching depth.

Early season Sunday afternoon games are tough. Friday is great atmosphere. Satruday the losing team has extra juice and the winning team is trying to get the series. Then quick turnaround to Sunday, pens have been used a bit, 3rd starters that coaches aren’t sold on quite yet. Great teams find a way to get up for these games to win a series or bury a team.

The strike zone is all over the map. The umpire is calling both high and low pitches out of the strike zone as strikes. Makes it hard to hit.
