Canes are Number 10 in newest preseason poll

I started to laugh at the dude that had PSU at #1, then I saw their schedule. I had to look twice, I thought it was a basketball schedule.

To start the season.

They play one away game against a team that had a winning record last year.
I thought we’ve been told the networks want matchups? The Big 10 must not have gotten that memo.

I want them undefeated coming into Hard Rock. More likely than not, they’ll lose to LSU before they play us.

All the UF hype is based on (1) Lagway da gawd (who’s stats aren’t anything special; all hype) and (2) improved defense (even though a lot of those guys are gone).
 
somehow with Carson Beck and a better secondary we are now WORSE than BYU, Iowa State and Kansas State?!?!

MMM, I don't understand your reasoning. They finished 4-4 in the SEC and overall 8-5. We collapsed at the end of the season and lost our best generational QB. I hope I'm wrong but I think this year is going to be a struggle w/o our kicker, QB, and talented receiving corp. Mario will find a way to ***** this season up!

Simple answer - I don't think they're very good.

Better answer - I don't thnk they're that good because 4-4 in the SEC may mean something to some people, but it's a .500 record which I don't see as being nearly Top Ten worthy (yes, it's top 11, but close enough). 8-5 is also not worthy of that ranking. And that's before you take a closer look at the numbers - 2 of those 4 SEC wins came against mighty Kentucky and Mississippi State. They did beat LSU and Ole Miss though, although both were at The Swamp....the same swamp where we destroyed them as did Texas A&M. I'm not a DJ Lagway believer/meat rider/slurper and I think Billy Napier sucks as a coach. If they weren't in the mighty SEC, we aren't even having this discussion.

We should probably be ranked around #19 and UF should probably be getting votes (aka, not ranked).
