How far can our defense carry the team? As of October 18, 2018, our Canes are ranked #1 in Total Defense just ahead of Michigan and Clemson. It's not an end of the year ranking, but it's great to be out in front in something at the halfway point. Richt has got to find a way to get more out of our offense because our defense is having a banner type year.

We'll be in every regular season road game because of our defense.
The result will be based on what position the O and ST's put our defense in.

At home our D will be over the top.
They'll set the tone for 2 W's.

They can’t keep this performance up much longer with O’s three and outs ever so increasing.

It would be an eye opener to see how many opponents O plays compared to ours .

KUDOS TO OUR D THE WHIPPING POST OF THIS TEAM , VERY COURAGEOUS ALL YEAR .

Imagine if they could rest more than 75 seconds ( 3 plays) for our O drives.

It would be scary our D

GOCANES

Look at who we have played and that will explain it. SSU 1-5, Toledo 3-4, FIU, UNC 1-5, FSU 4-3, outside of UVA and LSU (both loses), we haven't played any one worth a ****. We are a paper tiger. Our D is much better than our O, I will say that.

Not that it matters but the reason we went to the ACCCG last year was the defense. So far our offense has regressed every year during conference play.

Do the same for all the rest of the teams, saying we haven’t played anyone is meaningless.

In those losses the stats showed we should have won those games and the "D" is the reason why. It's a joke to look at the schedule and say they aren't great.

UM better bring a 💲💲💲💲💲🏧 to keep Manny here. In 2.5 years we have a championship caliber D.

If we didn’t have this defense we would seriously be under .500

It’s an absolute crime that Richt can’t even get the offense to consistently score 20 points a game

Wasting elite defensive effort & results. Team gets a short field b/c of the defense **** near every game and can’t cash in.

Why you coming with the NEGATIVE VIBES and what not! It ain't like Michigan or Clemson have played some nasty opponents and what not.

Not meaning any negative vibes. Just facts, when we play a team that's good or in P5, we lose. Michigan and Clemson are beating top 25 teams and we are not.

Wow..Michigan just beat a ranked team on the road for the first time in 15 years...I'm not making that up. So lets slow down on that.

Most of those teams have a better offense than their defense and thats why their record is what it is. So another words are top defense shut down the best part of their team hands that is why we got the win. Our defense is top-notch and there's no denying that
