Canes #18 in USA Today Poll

Yawn.... Just win **** these preseason polls whatever we do still gonna get disrespected from these poll voters

OSU ranked higher than Clemson... The last game OSU played? Lost to Clemson 31-0.

You heard it here first... watch out for Texas A&M... And how in the **** is UF ranked ahead of us... lol

Georgia at #15 is a freaking joke!

Florida at no. 16 is equally dumbfounding

Agreed. However, Georgia didn't do **** last year. Florida at least won the .................*** that, I can't bring myself to say anything positive about the freaking Gaytors!

Florida had a decent season but their defense was gutted.

I guess these voters are believers in Zaire at QB. They do have Scarlett, Powell, Calloway which is not bad at all.

What's with the Auburn love? I heard someone on the radio the other day calling them a possible playoff contender

Our toughest games according to this poll:

@FSU
VT
Notre Dame
@Pitt
GT
@North Carolina
Syracuse
Toledo

I still think @UNC is our 3rd toughest game. I know they lost a lot, but they always give us fits, especially in Chapel Hill.

Look at the Top 16... and where they finished last year.
Exemplifies how much time and effort that is put into these pre-season rankings.

Some notes on the 2016 pre-season poll:
Some credit is due as most had Bama and Clemson at the top (credit ends there).
4 other teams listed in the top-10 finished the top-10. Those 4 teams along with Clemson and Bama were ranked in the top 6.
After the top 6, you'd be better at the rankings by throwing at dart board of schools across the US.
11 of the 25 teams didn't even finish ranked (yearly average is always around 10-12).
CFP participant Washington, was 14th.

That qb is da goods.

I've had them a sleeper as well. Slit of talent on that roster but they've been missing a qb who can actually pass. They have that now.

They got talent on both sides the ball and their defense was good last year. Now they got the qb from baylor stidham and he has the potential to be good.

Not feeling LSU at 12 either.

The deal with Orgeron is he's good at the rah rah shīt so he might actually sneak in a decent year, this year.

But eventually that drunken fool will fūck it up. He's just not head coach material.

He's got 2 excellent coordinators. But you're right. He'll fck it up.

Yea, his coordinators are really good. Esp on D.

I just never seen anything from him that makes me think more than flash in pan success as a head coach.

No games played, so this means **** t me until we go out a kick a$$. How many of these experts know so much about all the teams, someone should compare this to the rankings at years end at see how smart these prognosticators really are.

I don't mind LSU or Auburn being ranked where they are.
I am surprised Michigan is ranked at 9 though. I know their recruiting is great and Harbaugh has them coached up but still.
