Cane Fane Battling Liver Rejection. Please Help!

Big update news!!! I’m going home from the hospital today guys. The numbers have trended back in the right direction after a new batch of IV steroids the last few days and a change in my immunosuppressant medication. I’m so excited and just want to thank all of you again for your donations, support, prayers and great conversations!!

Hopefully I’m not right back in here. They have a new plan of attack at home so let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Go Canes!

Awesome news!!!

I was praying you wouldn’t have to watch the FSU game from your hospital bed. 😁

Just donated. Good luck.
Thank you so much! This Canes group is beyond amazing! I have never felt so much love from a community in my whole life! It truly is something special. We give each other a hard time on here from time to time. Some of us have had some real issues on here but this board can not be beat for content and for true Canes fandom and football insight!

I like so much different stuff, so it really depends on my mood. Spotify is good for making playlists.

My all-time favorite album is Nirvana Unplugged, so on a long drive, I might listen to that and some Alice in Chains, Radiohead, that kind of stuff.

But then I might switch to country or pop or hip hop or 90s/early 2000s techno. I'm a chameleon.

Just no Taylor Swift.

I'm an oldies guy. Rush, Led, Bob Dylan, Beatles, The Doors.
I might sneak an oldies CD in there. That’s more my Dads stuff but it brings back memories of riding with my parents and them belting out lyrics.

Anything but country for me.. So if I picked one CD from your era @Shooter McGavin wjat are you picking?

I’m really into 2000s hip hop, Alternative Rock, Mumford and Aston’s type stuf, anybody have a new hip hop that’s just listen to that beats Kanye West College Dropout?

Yes no Taylor Swift, I am not averse to the Nirvana or Radiohead but it might be a little low energy for the hospital trips.

Couldn’t sleep been checking out your music list on YouTube. I never really heard this music though give obviously listened to mainstream Prince.

I like the vibe you’re throwing down. The music videos for these groups is pretty hilarious though!

Brother, you have aged yourself. The fact that I recognized many songs from those artists (I admit to not being very knowledgeable as to which artist performs which song, but I love all kinds of music), tells me you are around my age-ish (45-55). Dang!

It’s my 41st birthday, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the support. A special thank you to the CanesInsight community and St. James Catholic Church. To everyone who’s donated, shared, or sent kindness my way—thank you. The road ahead may be long, but with this incredible support, I’m fired up and ready to tackle every step. Go Hurricanes—let’s dominate FSU!

Bob Seger,
Bob Dylan,
Temptations,
ZZ Top,
Crosby/Stills/Nash & Young

Shooter had some really good selections, too. I used to DJ at a 100K Watt Classic Rock Station. Many other great bands like Queen, and individuals like Joe ****er - but those above didn't have many bombs - and you get a mix of rock and softer rock.

I’m Down with Bob Dylan, The Temptations are talking some good OL Bing Crosby?

Being a DJ must have been an experience.. what was your favorite part? How much freedom did they give you on picking your playlist?
