I was thinking about our flimsy DT depth and my thoughts turned to this:

In order of greatness:

Jerome Brown (RIP)
Cortez Kennedy
Warren Sapp
Vince Wilfork
Gerald Willis

Did I miss anyone?

Remember how good it felt when we had a monster or two in the interior? You just felt secure.

I like Gerald Willis but he shouldn't be on this list. You pretty much got all of our great DT's...Oh I just thought of one and thats Russell Maryland. My vote goes to Jerome Brown, as a kid I always heard how great he was by other players, coaches and media.
 
1A Sapp
1B Jerome
2 Tez
3 Maryland
4 Wilfork....can't put Tez over Jerome or Sapp with only 2yrs at UM. Nobody is a bigger Jerome fan as I am...But when the guy who was Jerome's Position coach for 3 outta 4yrs tells me Sapp is the best Interior DLman in UM History, I'm rolling with that. And he only coached Sapp for one yr.

Not mentioned in the Top 6 or 7 though. People forget how GREAT Lester Williams was. No way on the face of this earth was Willis a Top 6 or 7 DT in UM History.

Never mentioned that..... The post I responded too was about Willis being named and not Marlyand.. So I basically agreed that Maryland should have been mentioned over Willis...

That’s why I put Willis in. Some people seem angry that I included him — and thus desecrated the pristine image of the U.
Why the hate?

You’ve got a point. I just plain forgot him and he should be on the list.

Friend, there is a difference between hate and "what drugs are you on/not on".

Including Willis probably engenders the latter from most.
