with the knee jerk reactions to every hire we make? My god, every time we announce a new coach and it's not this household name the *****ing and moaning starts and it's just silly as we know absolutely nothing about them. Did it ever dawn on any of you whiny brats that Manny knows something about these guys that you don't? You can't crown Manny as the savior of Miami football two weeks ago and now start doubting and questioning every move he makes with people he knows way more about than any of us. Let Manny do his job and let it play out before we start acting like toddlers here.

Completely agree, Seider obviously was the dream hire but Hickson may work too let's let him work and see what happens
 
Aint nobody know much about Eric Hickson and Butch Berry.

But when you build yourself up to thinking you're getting Seider and all of these other expensive coaches, you just set yourself up for disappointment.

I just want recruiters. Can you recruit the fvck out of your position group? Y/N?

No. It’s a message board. The discussion, questioning, playing devils advocate, etc. is why these boards exist, not to circle jerk each other. You really gonna fight human nature? You want everyone to grab some pom Poms? How about you let people have any reaction they want in a free society and shut your pie hole Baghdad Bob.

And btw, most people questioning hires probably don’t trust Manny to begin with as head coach in training so they question his pics.

Sorry I want X and O guys you can keep a staff full of green horns who.can recruit but can't coach.
 
95 percent of ppl here arent even qualified to be water boys for a football team yet think they have the knowledge to know the qualites of a good football coach. I challenge Anyone to even tell a daily routine what a running back coach even does.
 
I've been reading about the hires on 247 today and if you dont read the comments its much easier on your mood. I'm excited by the direction Manny is taking the team. I'm waiting to see what product they put on the field against the Gayters. Then we will know if we should continue complaining.

Xs and Os guys? I mean, did you not just hire two of those in Dirty Dan Enos and Blake Baker? Isn't our head coach an Xs and Os guy?

Unless you're sealing the deal on talent...I don't see what good you are as a RB Coach, WR Coach, TE Coach, DB Coach, etc. Your job in those spots is to acquire talent first, everything else second, IMO.

Coaching'em up is fine, but you gotta recruit first and foremost at MOST of these position coach spots.

You would need to find away to pull the bloody tampons out of half of the board all at once.

I talk **** about Canes football to everyone, every year. I am proud to be a Cane and I believe its only a matter of time. Not going to kid myself into thinking I know half as much of these dudes making the hiring decisions or going to cry because they didnt hire the coach my mind has tricked me into believing is the only one that can work.

I take that Rohan Marley attitude with me to every football convo and to me thats what being a Cane is. Not just the players but the fans should also know that losing as a Cane is better than winning as a Gaytor or a Semanhole.

Taking a party bus to the Gator game next year full of Gaytors. We going to FN win and those MFers are going to unfriend my *** on the way home.

Manny has a vision thats nothing less than what he remembers as Miami football. I am down and getting more and more excited each day,
