Can we afford NOT to keep him? Winning at Miami is not as easy as some think. Golden, clearly has this program moving quickly in the right direction. Right at this moment, I wouldn't trade him for anyone. We got a diamond in the rough, who's starting to glitter a little.
I'm driving the bandwagon.
When's the last time UM lost a HC to another college? Contrary to popular belief, UM pays HCs very competitive salaries, and UM is not poor. The Don won't leave here because of money just like no one else has.
Golden gets paid the same as Kiffin. Only two things will take the Don out of Coral Gables. 30+ scholarship sanction or the pros.
After the job he's done and the Shapiro mess, Shalala owes Golden and his staff raises and contract extensions.
He isn't going anywhere he seems to really love UM. I know its kind of unheard of in this day and age but he might really be a lifer here. He'll never leave us for another college job and there is a very very good chance he'd never leave for the NFL either.

A diamond in the rough? GTFOOH! Golden was a hot commodity. The majority of our fans are just stupid. There were plenty of big programs after Golden but Gruden was coming. LOL! And as for a source or link to Coker being one of the highest paid HC's in America with his new extension, you're kidding right? Are you sure you're a Cane fan? That's common knowledge.
If you didn't know Golden was a good one the day he was hired then you sure as **** aren't driving the bandwagon.

We paid Coker 2 million which was top 10 at the time.

So, what you're saying is you don't have a source or a link, right? If it was "common knowledge", you would think this was documented somewhere. If it was common knowledge, why not just post the link? [sarcasm]And, yeah, Golden was a really hot property [/sarcasm] Most Cane fans hardly knew who he was.
I don't know what your problem is that makes you constantly attack other posters. But, I think it's a mental health issue.
Yes we can. If golden leaves, it's for a job like the steelers, eagles, or cowboys IMO.

Wow...
You think the Steelers would get rid of Tomlin. The Eagles just hired Kelly too, he is safe for another season or two. Also, Dallas is going to give the guy till the end of the year. He probably will make the playoffs too because the leader of that division may be 8-8.
Those 3 teams will not go after Golden.
