Can the Fuente lovers please concede now?

Evidently only SJMPARMAN and Butch didn't know about him. Everyone in CFB knew except for Butch.

If you can't admit you are a FRAUD who spews crap he can't prove.

You also probably believe, the non reviewable block by Duke, is a valid reason we should forfeit the Duke game.

This board tears every candidate to shreds. At this rate it's gonna be impossible to get excited for whoever gets the job.

Who is to say Chip Kelly would be a home run. If Chip left the NFL he would do that as an acknowledgment that his system failed in the NFL. Why would we want a guy who failed elsewhere. I know the Saban comparison but we don't need to stoop that low.

How's this ? His rep was awful for years , way before Butch. Not sure why you're acting like such a mark. Do your own research, it's no secret.

Here is the bottom line. Sam Jankovich hit two home run hires at Miami. He hired Jimmy and he hired Dennis. Brilliant hires and kudos to him. The next hire has to be equally brilliant. It can't be a flash guy. It has to be a trans formation guy. Larry Scott has done that but, in the long term, he has to prove he is the guy. He obviously better than Golden but is he the guy? Jury is out on that but he has made these kids winners. I appreciate the effort.

Fuente will still win 10+ and go to a decent bowl.

Please keep starting threads OP.

If you think you going to find a source for your belief that Blake was crooked, before Butch hired him, then your belief is that a man of impeccibal credentials for honesty before this point, would choose to intentionally damage his personal and professional reputation to the benefit of a sleaze ball that you allege Blake to be. And by the way, Blake has lawyers who are willing and able to bring unfounded accusations against him to court and win damages and attorney fees for having to defend such slander. You want to defend your home to pursue such slander or libel?

Ok Cribby, cite the source?

Here's a blog in Charlotte, mentions it wsd no secret to people in cfb

You can google yourself too, his dealings with agents go way back.

You're acting like we just made this up . Like I said " it's been common knowledge around cfb since 90's.

NCAA finally got him at Unc, only because that program was buck wild. If not for that he might not have got caught

Some of you guys are so dense.

The North Carolina Agent Fiasco The John Blake Stain

Butch Davis and the North Carolina Carolina Tar Heels made a statement to the college football world when they hired John Blake to head their football recruiting operations.

And now they're learning just what that statement was.

Allegations about Blake's possible role in the North Carolina agent scandals are only Blake's most recent headlines. I've followed John Blake's career with a combination of morbid fascination and interest since his days in the 1990s wrecking the Dallas Cowboy locker room and then the Oklahoma Sooner football program.

Next Up In The NCAA Penalty Box: North Carolina

Call it the Trifecta of NCAA violations – those are among the charges against the North Carolina football program, the kind that almost always bring serious consequences.

But of course if you have been paying attention to Barking Carnival, you already were aware that North Carolina Head Coach Butch Davis should have known better than to hire John Blake as his Associate Head Football Coach.

We did not support this message.

It's odd how the narrative on this board has become "every coach sucks except for the only one I'll accept for Miami." What if you'd be happy with Herman, Hue, Butch, or Fuente if we can't lure a pipe dream coach like Chip or Patterson? There isn't just one man capable of accomplishing greatness at Miami.

Losing by 25 as a double-digit home favorite is an undeniably bad loss. It shouldn't overshadow a coach's full body of work at a historically irrelevant program that won fewer than 9 games every year but one since 1963 before Fuente arrived.
These same mouth breathers like Op and Klamalama that were sucking Goldens **** up until a few games ago are now on here knocking a real coach.

BULLSCHITT.

I've been calling for Golden's firing since this time, last year.

I'll give you that El Fuente is better than Fraulden, but that's not saying much. You can't be losing to Navy's one-dimensional offense and call yourself a coach. If he now fires his DC, he may be starting to get the importance of Defense.

Please......carry on.

OP, I am a fan of Butch Davis coming back as well but let me get this straight.......

Justin Fuente takes over what was arguably the worst program in FBS and accomplishes everything that he has thus far yet he loses a game and that is supposed to invalidate him as a coach? That's patently absurd! I like Butch too but he isn't the only guy that is qualified and capable of restoring UM to greatness.

That Memphis roster isn't exactly the 2001 UM squad. I don't care how good of a coach you are. When you coach at Memphis you are not going to have a talent advantage over many teams. For crying out loud Nick Saban lost a game to Ole **** this year and Sabans roster is a who's who of High School blue chippers! Does that mean that people who assert that Saban is a good coach have to concede as well? Good God man! Think!

Did I read that right? Wow! Just Wow!

And lets add that Herman gave up 625 yards to Cincy. Not exactly worth a UM interview.

who do you want as the UM coach?

Don't bother - these posts are useless. Every coach has a bad loss on their record. Butch had some horrific losses while he was here.

And I'll tell you what - any coach we bring in here, even though we have the talent to be a 10 win team next year, will struggle at times.

I think you guys are ignoring the fact that navy dropped 40+ on them.

Is Navy 7-1 or 1-7?

How is this relevant? Records don't mean you begin the game with 20 points. My point is that he knew they ran the triple option prior to playing them and they still hung 45 on him. He can bounce back from this but can I say he's ready to leap from Memphis to Miami I'm not sure, I'd take Herman over him atm let's see when they play head to head.
