can fsu's offense score with miami?

Miami has surrendered opening drive points to Stanford, Wake and CMU, so maybe Norvell is able to script something together to get FSU on the board early. Once Heatherman adjusts, I see us choking them out until maybe they get some desperation points towards the end. If our offense plays up to their capabilities, FSU shouldn't be able to keep up. But sometimes weird crap happens.

Miami has shown a better ability to do that than FSU and most if not all the teams they will face.

Good lord......dude was on there schmucking it up with the fsu guy on the pod about how its not good for fsu to be down, him as a cane fan needs it for the rivalry, the **** dude voice had no bass in it and really had a cuck take to a team/fan base podcaster that DESPISES um in every way...and hes on there **** near about to cry about fsu (im being serious..he hit em with the "im being genuine when i say this).....

If we can just tackle better and limit the QB runs, we’ll be fine. That’s been our biggest struggle. We have to contain Daniels, wrap him up when we get the chance, and stop giving up extra yards. If we clean that up and stay disciplined, I think we blow them out.

Im genuinely confused on the behavior....like I know we have the sec fan boys but **** yall fans of our most hated rival too....

I watch fsu to watch them lose...and thats with me having multiple teammates play there, a relative start there, and a kid i coach start there recently. I still want em to lose every game they can go 0-16 n i wouldnt budge.

FSU has shown they can string together some early drives and score points, they did it against Bama and UL. Keeping it together and avoiding turnovers once they run out of bullets, is something they have yet to show.

What Miami needs to do is simple, stay the aggressor, especially against an overmatched opponent.

First, RUN THE FRIGGIN' OFFENSE. MarioBALL follows a consistent pattern: Get a lead, and then try to grind the other team into full submission, execution over aggression. It happened last year against FSU, and again this year against Wake. We did it against Clemson with success, running 9 times in a row, but that's been the exception. Typically, it has hurt us.

On Defense, figure out 3rd downs. We have a pattern of being aggressive on early downs, then backing off on 3rd. It's killed us at times. Maybe getting Lucas back and rotating Fitzgerald back to S/Nickel can help some, but we are letting teams convert too many untimely 3rd and longs.

Daniels doesn't take care of the football, make him uncomfortable. Shortening their drives are an extra possession for us against their overmatched defense. Last year, we were aggressive and Castellanos was a trainwreck, then we backed off and they found the EZ a few times. Don't give up cheap throws to Deuce Robinson by being in soft zone. We are the better team, call the game that way.

Spot on! I think Lucas and the emergence of Mack and Day will make this less of a concern.

Tackling has definitely been an issue. Not as bad as 2024, but a huge step back from 2025. I feel like our first guy misses a lot, whether it's at the line of scrimmage or a few yards downfield. Unlike the 2024 season, we seem to have another defender right there after the first guy misses, so additional yardage by the ball carrier is usually limited, but our first defender to the ball carrier has got to do a better job of wrapping up.

For example, has Jarquez Carter made a single tackle where he was the first defender to the ball carrier? Feel like he's 0-10 in those situations. Only tackle I remember him having was against Clemson when he wrapped the guy up and threw him 4 yards forward.

This is a rivalry game. All records, tendencies, etc. go out the window. Weird **** happens in these matchups.

We also have an opposing coach coaching for his employment.

I wouldn’t be shocked if we go into halftime with a closer score than any of us are comfortable with. FSU can score and were hanging with bama until the weather delay

This team can score for sure. This would be a great game for Dawson air Reid 28-7 halftime lead. Two Mario cave man drives in the second half and a garbage time touchdown to make it 49-21 after they score a few garbage time touchdowns. If we go into the fourth quarter up 42-14 it would be a good day.
