They can score... and it is a rivalry game... and we are coming off a break.. too many ifs to call it a blowout.
Last season @SMU still bothers me. We should have cooked them. Instead we played bad, coached worse and it showed.
Good thing, it's a home game..

They have the right combination of gimmick plays and a scrambling quarterback to probably give Heatherman an early headache before a quick change shuts them out the entire second half. Defensively they’re pathetic. We should win this game somewhere in the area of 42-17.

Who have they scored with besides bama somewhat? Only scored 24 vs a bad smu defense. Only scored 20 vs louisville. I don’t see it

I am going to try and be unbiased here.
I think at worst it will be like last year’s game. We completely look like the dominant team but then we take the foot off the gas and they make the final score look respectable. Or maybe something like the Wake game.

If we are at our best though we should throttle them all four quarters. They are just simply inferior in all three phases.

fair ... shodell think it's more of them shooting themselves in the foot ... but at some point your are what your record and stats say you are

We havd the best defense they have seen by a mile. They don't score more than 17.

Other side of the ball, their defense is hot garbage so no they wont be able to keep up.

**** FSU!

If there was no Seminole logo on their helmets, nobody would be stressing this game for half a second.

I get it’s a rivalry, but they are bad. Especially defensively.

My guess is Mike will probably sit back, drop 7-8 on defense, run the ball to kill clock, and just try to cover the spread since he knows they have no shot to win (just like he did in 2024).

FSU has shown they can string together some early drives and score points, they did it against Bama and UL. Keeping it together and avoiding turnovers once they run out of bullets, is something they have yet to show.

What Miami needs to do is simple, stay the aggressor, especially against an overmatched opponent.

First, RUN THE FRIGGIN' OFFENSE. MarioBALL follows a consistent pattern: Get a lead, and then try to grind the other team into full submission, execution over aggression. It happened last year against FSU, and again this year against Wake. We did it against Clemson with success, running 9 times in a row, but that's been the exception. Typically, it has hurt us.

On Defense, figure out 3rd downs. We have a pattern of being aggressive on early downs, then backing off on 3rd. It's killed us at times. Maybe getting Lucas back and rotating Fitzgerald back to S/Nickel can help some, but we are letting teams convert too many untimely 3rd and longs.

Daniels doesn't take care of the football, make him uncomfortable. Shortening their drives are an extra possession for us against their overmatched defense. Last year, we were aggressive and Castellanos was a trainwreck, then we backed off and they found the EZ a few times. Don't give up cheap throws to Deuce Robinson by being in soft zone. We are the better team, call the game that way.

It will be a methodical, relentless beatdown on both sides of the ball.

We will snuff the life out of them with each passing minute.

They have a good rushing offense and a bad passing offense. We have a great rushing defense and a good passing defense with a top corner returning

Also they have a terrible passing defense and a bad rushing defense. Rivalry games can be tricky at times but this isn’t a good matchup for them at all
