Can Armbrister Get A Redshirt Year?

Remember when people were saying this guy sucks?

Never give up on a guy. Sometimes they come out of nowhere to contribute.

If Folden expected anything out of him down the road he wouldn't have wasted an entire year of eligibility having him run down on a couple kicks early in his true freshmans season. Looks like he shocked the **** out of Folden too.

He played in the first 2 games. I know his profile says he didn't play at all, but if you look at the game stats for participants, then you will find his name wearing #1 for the 1st two games but not any more.

The question would be: did he get a medical red shirt for that year? Apparently not, and thus this would be his 4th and final year of participating.

If he did only play two games his first year, then I believe a medical redshirt will have to be requested after he graduates.

But his stock is high right now. He may not want to come back.

He played. Why is it so hard to grasp that they wasted a season with him?

How did they waste a season? He is a true senior. He still has a redshirt year available if he so desires. He could stay and play next year as a RS Senior. What some fans don't ever seem to realize is that not all kids want to stay in school for five or even six years. If he gets a draft advisory this year, and I think he can since he has another year of eligibility left, and they tell him the could go in the top three or four rounds, or even that he would go lower but be drafted, perhaps he may desire to go take his chances. Most of these kids dream all their lives of playing in the NFL and not all of them are willing to put that dream off to satisfy fans who post on message boards.

Good Grief.....

He only played two games in 2011 but he'd have to prove he was injured to be eligible for a medical redshirt, I believe. We'll see.

It'd be huge to get him for one more year.

M. Lewis is listed as a RSOPH because he applied for and received a medical red shirt for his freshman year. You do not have to wait until you graduate to apply.

He's through here. You can't play in the second half of any season in order to apply for a hardship waiver and he played in the second half of the 2011, 2013, 2013, 2014 seasons. So start saying your goodbyes.
