Can a new coach resend a recent scholarship?

As far as I know, athletic scholarships have to be renewed on a yearly basis. Still, it's a bad look to dump a kid's scholarship if he hasn't gotten into trouble. I don't even think cut throat programs like Alabama do that sort of thing.

Incoming coach should honor a loi.kid doesn't pan out do what Manny said to mahoney.tell them it's not working out they need to transfer and you'll help them through it.besides you never know that 2-3 star kid could turn out to be a stud.happens all the time back in the 80-90 glory years we had several.Russell Maryland fits that bill not sure but I think he was a 3 star.

Let be real. We have 4-5 kids who signed early who frankly don’t deserve a scholarship here at Miami. We were grasping at straws near the end bc the ship was sinking.
Is it even possible for a brand new coach to come in and say thanks but no thanks and cut the kids free? It would be better for both parties. They won’t ever see the field here.

I think universities should resend, I mean, rescind their diplomas to graduates who can't tell the difference between two vastly distinct words.

It would be better for both parties.

Man we are having a hard time recruiting as it is. Now you want us to be known as the school that rescinds scholarships after kids have signed. Man let’s give it some time maybe these kids turn out to be studs.

As if these kids were pieces of clothing to simply dump at the local Goodwill bin.
Some of these folks need to leave college football....follow an NFL team instead.

You can send scholarships as frequently as you'd like.

More importantly, scholarships are renewable on an annual basis. You can pull scholarships (as happens all the time, such as for disciplinary reasons).

However, if you start pulling scholarships solely based on performance, the P.R. blowback will be comparable to Hurricane Andrew.

Manny's pretty creative and aggressive, but I don't think he is angling to be the first Division I coach to pull the scholarships from kids who have done everything they are supposed to do, academically and personally, but are simply not as good on the field as we anticipated.

Hey, OP, have you tried sticking your head in an alligator's mouth? Just curious.
